September 9, 2005 Many of us thought that it would be truly wonderful if Manilow fans and friends could join together as One Voice to demonstrate our support for so many of our friends, families, and fellow human beings who suffered from Hurricane Katrina. We set a goal of $150,000. We hoped for $50,000 in contributions, $50,000 from Barry, and $50,000 from the Manilow Fund For Health And Hope. Wow. Goal number one took about 48 hours. So Barry said, "Let's try for another $150,000." So we did. And you did. And wow. The second $150,000 took less than 36 hours. As of now, we... which is really you... have raised a little over $400,000. That's amazing. Really amazing. At this pace, we can't keep up matching two dollars for every one dollar that's donated to the Manilow Fund. We can, however, match it dollar for dollar until we run out. And to help it not run out... Barry has offered to recreate the PLATINUM PACKAGE for some of the 2006 shows at the Las Vegas Hilton. And to help respond to so many of you who have asked that funds be allocated to specific needs beyond those of the Red Cross, everything over the first $300,000 will be targeted to specific requests. All of us hope that the devastation of Katrina will soon be forgotten. What will never be forgotten is the generosity of thousands of friends who have shared their HOPE for forever.

September 2, 2005 We did it! In less than 48 hours and by Barry and the Manilow Fund matching each dollar you sent... We have raised $150,000.00 to send immediately to the Red Cross to aid in their efforts to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. We raised the money so fast... It's shown us that together we can really make a difference, so let's do it again! Barry and the Manilow Fund for Health and Hope have both agreed... You donate $1.00... Barry will match your $1.00... and the Manilow Fund will match another $1.00.... so your one dollar becomes $3.00. Barry and the Manilow Fund will match up to a maximum of $50,000.00 each just like before so we can reach our goal of $150,000.00. Just think, if we raise another $150,000.00 and add that to the $150,000.00 we just raised.... That will be a total of $300,000.00.... and we all know, the Red Cross and the victims of Hurricane Katrina can use every penny. If you would like to help... and triple the impact of your contribution... the Manilow Fund For Health And Hope will match dollar for dollar... every dollar contributed to the Fund and designated for Hurricane Help... up to a maximum of $50,000. Barry will do the same thing... up to another $50,000. In other words... if you contribute $1 to the Manilow Fund... Barry will match your $1... and the fund will match another $1. So your one dollar becomes $3. Hopefully... we can very quickly raise $150,000 to lend a hand. All funds raised for Hurricane Katrina will be donated immediately to the Red Cross to aid in their efforts. The Manilow Fund contributes 100% of every dollar raised.
