February 25: Barry was 15 seconds into his first song and came over to me, reached out for my hand, bent down, sang to me, and posed for picture! - Melissa O'Neill (Scranton, PA) (3/4/2005) Favorite Show (February 26): I love Barry's shows! They are so filled with his greatest hits. I have been one of his biggest fans since 1972! I love to get up and dance and know all the words to every song. I loved seeing him so much in Vegas. I am going back in June. - Pamela (of Katy, Texas) (3/27/2005) February 26: This concert was much better than [the one I had gone to before] in Philadelphia. I sat in the 15th row. Barry's performance is always wonderful! - Noreen J. Hall (Clifton Heights, PA) (6/7/2005) February 23: It was the preview show for Music and Passion, and my mom and I were sitting left side stage seats 22 and 23 row BB (front). There was a point in the show where Barry came to my side of the theatre to play the accordion. After he finished with the accordion and he was talking to the audience I smiled, put my left hand up by the side of my face and did a little wave. The wave was just to say Hey, and I think this is great. Barry smiled and asked me to come up and keep him company while he sang. I hesitated, but he talked me into going up there with him. I was so surprised and grateful. I sat up with Barry while he sang "Somewhere Down the Road." What an experience! I will never forget the feeling I had that night. - Leigh Anne Conklin (Napa, CA) (6/17/2005) I loved Barry's opening night at the Las Vegas Hilton. It was such an occasion. There were TV crews from all over the world and I was interviewed by Richard and Judy from the UK and Good Morning America because I was so excited and had travelled so far. It felt like being part of Las Vegas history. The show was flawless and amazing. Barry delivered the performance of his life and the sound and production was first class. I did not want the show to end. I was spellbound. This was not the first time I had seen Barry but in my opinion the best show ever. - Arlene Bovill (of Scotland) (7/9/2009) February 25: Luck Be A Lady, It's A Miracle, Daybreak, Mandy, Even Now, See The Show Again, Can't Smile Without You, New York City Rhythm / Avenue C / Jumpin' At The Woodside / Bandstand Boogie, Dancin' Fool, Weekend In New England, Somewhere Down The Road, Here's To Las Vegas, I Write The Songs, Copacabana (At The Copa), It's A Miracle (reprise) / Dancin' In The Streets, One Voice (a cappella) [ Manilow.TV Episode #16 (2/25/2005) aired Jan. 2011 ] |

March 5 (10:00 PM): I sat in the left side stage seating front row (Thank You CC!). The show was absolutely beautiful! Lights, sound and all... I had my first Barry moment during this show, which is darn good considering other than the two prior nights at the Hilton I had only seen Barry live once! Barry took my hand during this show and then during "Copa", Barry came directly in front of me as I was standing there and danced and sang looking right at me. As he was about to go back to center stage, I blew him a kiss and he looked into my eyes and returned it! It was a very special moment for me and I will hold on to it forever! Thanks for noticing me, Barry! I left Vegas knowing that I had seen the best performer of all time. - Debbi (of Tampa, FL) (6/16/2005) March 2: I loved this concert because my whole family got to enjoy it. My two daughters and husband got front row stage seats for my 60th birthday. I got to talk to and hug Barry, and put on his white coat. He danced with my daughter Amanda during "They Dance!" and my daughter Robyn during "Copacabana"! Even my husband was quite moved by the performance! At first, I thought, what a coincidence hat Barry danced with each of us... then I realized that it was just an example of the thoughtful person and musician he is to include all of us! - Noel Barnes (Evanston, IL) (6/11/2010) |

March 26: Barry was terrific! The shows were fantastic! I went to both the early and late shows and enjoyed both thoroughly. Barry looked happy and sounded great. The order of the show, the energy and time put into it, the band, and Barry's interaction with the audience... all superb! I myself got a huge wave from Barry during the first show when I was sitting to the right in the 8th row. I was tickled purple and was sure that was all I would get (personally) from Barry for the evening... BUT... how wrong I was! Second show I was Side Stage right, row CC (seat 8) and called out to Barry that he had a "NICE SUIT"! Next thing I knew I heard a soft voice ask me, "WHAT DID YOU SAY?"! I looked to my right and there was Barry looking right at me and waiting for an answer (at most I thought he would wave again, or yell a thank you...). I did repeat what I had said, we talked for a few more minutes, and he continued with the show! Barry, if you read this, I want you to know that you made my wildest dreams come true. I have loved and listened to your music for at least the last 30 years and to have the opportunity to speak with you and meet you was to say the least, QUITE AN HONOR! THANK YOU SO MUCH...MR. MANILOW!! - Karen Elimelech (Woodbridge, CT) (6/5/2005) Favorite Show: Barry Manilow is my favorite everrrr! I love him!! I listen to his music Every Single Day of my life and I still cry. He makes me happy and there is something very special about him. I think his concert is fabulous. I hope I can meet Barry [someday]. [I'm] going to see him again on Thursday, July 28, 2005. Barry, if you are reading this, maybe you can say "Hi" to me that night!! - Sandy Devine (El Paso, TX) (7/21/2005) First Show (March 26): I have discovered Barry's music is quite amazing and his concert is so good it makes you a fan by the end of the evening. I really did not know too much about him previous to his concert. However, events in the world change us. 9/11 brought many changes to this wonderful nation of ours. One such change would alter our lives. I was sent to Iraq, came home safely. However, the strain on my wife was tremendous. I learned that she couldn't listen to any songs by Barry without it tearing at her heart in such a way it would bring her to tears. I came home, I had no idea what to give her. I had missed her birthday, our anniversary, Christmas, and a full year of our life together. Then she learned Barry was going to be in Vegas and she totally couldn't believe it. She could not stop talking about going and booked tickets immediately. That was the best gift I could ever give her (March 26 and July 28!). - Jim Devine (El Paso, TX) (10/22/2005) What I liked about the show was Barry's charm, his childish smile, his very beautiful blue eyes and his professional orchestra. Bravo, Mr. Manilow! Your show is fantastic. I'll return [in 2006] with many friends from FRANCE. - Michele Cond (of France) (3/10/2006) |

April 1: I can still remember seeing Barry for the first time in [the 70's] at the MGM Grand LV and was totally mesmerized. I was hooked. I wasn't able to see him in concert again till 1985 and 1989 in Hawaii. Finally, this past April I was able to see him at the Hilton Las Vegas. He [is] more mesmerizing than ever, and the most fantastic entertainer of all time. - Roberta (of Honolulu, HI) (7/16/2005) March 30 Highlights: Tryin' To Get The Feeling Again / Brooklyn Blues / Lay Me Down / Somewhere Down The Road |

April 6: My 11-year-old son Bryan and I had seats BB8 and BB7 at the right side stage. This was our first time ever seeing Barry in person and we were so excited waiting for the show to start. It was such an awesome feeling when he walked out on stage... and when he came over there during the show, we were so close! The next night (April 7), I was sitting almost directly behind the "jacket girl" and Barry made eye contact with me for a moment while over there... what a feeling! I've loved Barry ever since watching him singing "It's Just Another New Year's Eve" on TV a few years ago. I'm totally deaf, but really love his songs, the way he performs them, and think he is absolutely gorgeous ... I love you dearly, Barry! - Jan Graham (Spartanburg, SC) (1/21/2006) |

May 18: It was my goal in life to see Barry in Vegas! What a dream come true!! I had the best time. Sat in the Balcony first row. I was so excited that I cried through almost the entire show. Barry gets better every time I see him. He was so energetic and his voice was perfect. Loved the outfits he wears. It was just so much more magical seeing him in Vegas! I am going back again in November and I am sure I will go many more times! Loved the Copacabana Bar!! - Lisa Invergo (Chicago, IL) (8/25/2005) May 19: I have been listening to Barry since I was 10 years old. He is a musical genius. My sister and I saw him for the first time in Vegas. It was thrilling! Sixth row, and sitting directly behind me in row 7 was Bette Midler. A fantastic show! - Julie (of Mount Prospect, IL) (11/11/2006) May 20: When my husband and I first arrived in Vegas that week, he asked me what I wanted to do, so I opened the What's Happening in Las Vegas magazine in our room, and it opened up to Barry at the Las Vegas Hilton. Immediately I insisted on our getting tickets, so this was my very first concert. I cried when he sang "Weekend in New England," and danced in the aisle and seat when he sang most of the rest of his songs. What a performer he is! I've been listening to his music for years and I can only say, "He gets me" ... meaning his songs get to my head, heart, and soul. What else would anyone expect from a performer? And if you find that in a performer, you just keep going back again and again. Thanks Barry for one of the greatest nights of my life! - Ginny Swiger (Wellsburg, WV) (2/23/2007) |

Going to Vegas over the Memorial Day weekend, we were ready to experience the environment of "Music and Passion." And, experience we did! Hearing Barry perform his greatest hits live has always been great. However, "Mandy," "Looks Like We Made It," "Even Now," and "Trying to Get The Feeling" were outstanding performances as he truly crawled into these songs. His re-creating these power ballads was like hearing them for the first time. Passion is truly the word to describe "Weekend In New England"! Soooo special: Wednesday... "That's Life"; Thursday... "Come Fly With Me"; Friday... "Lay Me Down" which we really enjoyed up close and personal. The early show Saturday, we received an encore of "Keep Each Other Warm" that blew us away! And, a sure highlight, Saturday late show... us all being the back-up group for "Sweet Heaven"! What a totally unexpected fantastic pleasure of fun! None of us were able to sit back in our seats from there on in after any of those songs! The whole weekend was great as we look forward to July! - Michele Baggio, Rose Bonando, Cathy Boynes, Liz Boynes, Stacy Bryant, Dianne Eyerman and Marcia Koretsky (from CA, NY, WA, NJ and FL!) (6/8/2005) May 27: Although I am "new" compared to most who follow Barry about, I have been enjoying his music for YEARS! Our seats were second row on the stage, and it was AMAZING! The energy of his shows either leaves you on your feet waiting for more or overcome by the emotion he seems exude during ballads. He is the performer of all performers, and I have never been left disappointed by any of his shows, but this one felt more overwhelming than the others since he was "RIGHT THERE!" I would love to make it back to Vegas just to experience it all over again! - Jenn (of Pennsylvania) (6/11/2005) May 26: Barry is not only as good as he was 30 years ago, but BETTER! When I saw him in May 2005 in Vegas, his voice was stronger and his music got more to-the-soul than ever before. I hope to meet him some day and tell him how wonderful I think he is. He hasn't a clue the impact he has had on me all these years. He's more than just another singer... He is a Rare Find! - Judy Correggio (Revere, MA) (6/17/2005) May 26: I was sitting at a table on the stage, never been so close before, Barry shook my hand and gave me a kiss, that made my night! The only thing wrong was iI did not get a photo of this happening, so if there is a chance of a DVD of that night's show I would really appreciate it, for special memories. Thank you. - Marjorie Traynor (Manchester, England) (9/4/2013) |

Favorite Show (June 4): I sat in the 6th row and could see Barry even better than before! - Noreen J. Hall (Clifton Heights, PA) (6/7/2005) June 4: I went to see Barry for my 50th birthday with two girlfriends. I sat in the 7th row. I love the stories Barry tells; he makes me laugh so much and I think he would be just the coolest person to sit and have a glass of wine with and just chat. He is awesome and always has been (Hey, I am too old to remember my first Barry concert!). I have seen him all over the place so many times and will continue to do so. I will book again before the end of the year at the Hilton. Great show, and he is better then ever. You go, Barry! You are truly the best!! Cheers, Tina Rojas (Sherman Oaks, CA) (6/10/2005) First Show (June 3): At first I was concerned about my seating (being next to the sound booth) but Barry worked both sides of the stage and the big screens on both sides of the stage clearly showed him performing. His performance was outstanding and enjoyed by everyone in our group. I bought "The Essential Barry Manilow" CDs but they cannot compare to the rich dynamic performance that I witnessed. He appreciates his audiences as much as we enjoy seeing and listening to him. - Bryan K. Sasaki (Honolulu, HI) (6/11/2005) June 4: Barry was awesome!! I took my two daughters for their graduation present. They loved Barry as much as I did. They will have this memory forever. - Laurie (of Johnson City) (6/11/2005) June 2: I was thrilled with the whole concert. Being 73, I left in tears knowing that may well be the last time I see Barry in concert. This was also my first time being in Sin City, and he was the reason I made the trip. - Lida Torrence (Clearwater, FL) (7/5/2005) June 3 and 4 (early and late): After five years of waiting for Barry's appearance in the San Francisco/Bay area (He used to come here every other year or so till 2000), I finally decided to quit waiting and go see him in Las Vegas. All three shows I attended were great and Barry was so wonderful!! He was very energetic and looked even younger than when I saw his shows six or eight years ago. Seemed like the time around him had just stopped the last ten years! I was really glad that I did go. I even got a HANDSHAKE at the last show! Thank you, Barry! You made my day... Now, June 4th is a very special day for me: Ten years ago (1995) same day, I went to his concert in Concord, CA and twenty years ago (1985) same day, we were all in Tokyo as well. Could it be magic? - May Kawahara (San Francisco, CA) (7/22/2005) It was the most wonderful event I have ever attended. I have been a Barry Manilow fan for as long as I can remember. Seeing him in person was a dream come true for me. My knees were shaking the entire time he was singing! I will never forget the night I saw Barry Manilow in person, and I hope one day I can see him again, this time from a seat on stage. Thank you, Barry! - Jennifer Ferguson (Lynchburg, VA) (2/27/2010) June 4: I was in the second row and (as a photographer) I took a lot of photos of Barry! I have been to several Barry concerts and they were all amazing. - Mary Lupo (Brooklyn, New York) (6/16/2011) |

BMIFC Convention 2005 -- July 29-31 Does Barry realize how much he makes people feel? I can't wait 'til I see him again. I am going to go to see his Vegas concert as many times as I can. Each time my seat will be closer and MAYBE just MAYBE one night he will talk to me or hug me or just look at me. His performance was fabulous and mesmerizing. Each of his shows is different. I just can't believe how inspired he makes me feel. I listen to his music every day and everyday I love him more. If you read this Barry, know that when people tell you you are GIFTED, BLESSED and ADORED and are going straight to heaven, it is the truth. YOU are MAGIC and I will adore you forever. - Sandy Devine (El Paso, TX) (8/20/2005) July 30: This was my 4th concert seeing Barry in person. I loved this concert as well as the others. I LOVED it when he sang "Keep Each Other Warm". It was one of my favorite songs. Also he did a GREAT job singing "Brooklyn Blues." And when he came down on the ladder from the ceiling, singing "Copacabana," I just about lost it. He is such a fabulous singer. I can't think of enough things to say about him. Just FABULOUS, FABULOUS! My friend and I had very good seats in the balcony. We could see Barry from all angles. Barry, I want to thank you for putting on a GREAT show that night. YOU ARE THE BEST EVER. I will be back to see another one of your shows soon. God bless you, And keep up the Great songs. - Martha Eggeman (Lee's Summit, MO) (8/1/2005) July 29: I sat front row of the stage seats and got to kiss/shake his hand!! July 30 (late show): Got to hear "Keep Each Other Warm" and "Best Seat In The House" performed live, for the first time. - Pat (8/31/2005) July 27-30: It was my very first time in VEGAS and my first FLIGHT! It was all so very special. I had side stage seats BB seat 6! I was so hoping to be the jacket girl but if I wasn't at least he would be right there..IN FRONT OF ME! Such a beautiful man and his eyes... Ahhh, I was in HEAVEN when he stood next to me and talked to the gal who helped him with his jacket. I could not believe how crystal blue his eyes are; you could almost see into his soul. I almost missed my chance to shake his hand. When Barry came over and danced and shook hands with the other ladies in the row, he started at my right (seat 1) and came all the way over to the gal next to me shook her hand, [so] I stuck out my hand and when he saw that he reached out and took my hand. I have decided that I am doing PLATINUM [in 2006]. I am looking forward to actually speaking to him one on one...that will be just AWESOME!! - Rose F. (of Pennsylvania) (10/21/2005) July 28: In our house Barry's music is always in a the room she is busy working in. We are constantly hearing his music gently drifting through the house or in the car when we are about. So, now, not only am I a fan, but I even sing along to "Mandy" and now, she proudly tells everyone, for our anniversary this year I bought her the PLATINUM Package for 2006. - Jim Devine (El Paso, TX) (10/22/2005) The Music and Passion concerts were really awesome. Barry really did a fantastic job. This year's convention/concerts were the Best Ever! - Linda Galve (La Quinta, CA) (11/7/2005) July 28-30: I have followed Barry from the very beginning of his career. I have seen Barry [in concert] 18 times, but I had never seen Barry Manilow perform in Las Vegas. In July my dream finally came true! Barry put on one of the most sensational performances that I have ever seen in my life. Absolutely spectacular! When I saw Barry go on the catwalk in Vegas I was in total AWE! I just went crazy. I hope to go back to Vegas and see him again because Barry is just the Best in the World. - Mary Franklin (La Quinta, CA) (11/8/2005) My father had just passed away in 2004 and I invited Mom to join me at the convention. We had the Best time ever! I saw my mother have fun and smile again! I cherish that! The concerts, the fun, the great seats... we are both hearing impaired so being feet from Barry was emotionally wonderful for us both. You're There, We Live On Borrowed Time, The Best Seat In The House... Barry, you always have the music that speaks what is needed. Thank you! You are the best!! - Mary Young (of Arizona) (10/22/2013) |

Friday: Before the concert I tried my hand at the Barry slot machine. $200.00! Guess where that went? For a ticket for myself to attend the next night's show also (Saturday), even if it was all by myself. Incredibly, I got a 7th row floor aisle seat, right where Barry rises and does his SEXY dancing. I can't count how many shows I've been to and the towns (I have a very generous and loving husband). [At the first show] we had side stage seats and Barry shook my hand. I thought I'd die! My favorite songs were "If I Can Dream" (the passion Barry put into it made me cry and being an Elvis fan too, I loved Barry's rendition) and "When October Goes." Long and short of it, Barry is as dynamic and vibrant as in the "old days", maybe more so. He gets better and sexier with age! ... Thank you for not retiring. The world does need the happieness that you radiate. Bless you and may there be many more trips to Vegas to see you! - Barbara Miller (Myrtle Beach, SC) (8/7/2005) August 4: I was the jacket girl! Never thought I'd be that close. If only one could bottle the feeling you have listening to a live Barry Manilow concert or show, no one would ever be "blue" again! He only gets better with age, which means he can never retire! I could never pick a favorite song -- I love them all! - Shelly Nelson (Cumberland, WI) (8/14/2005) August 3: I finally took my eldest daughter, Megan, to see Barry live. She turned 15 August 2nd and we celebrated with a visit to Vegas. We sat front and center and got a hand-hold from Barry during "Copacabana." I loved seeing her face during the show! She thought she might have been the youngest in the audience that night. Barry was great as always and seemed to be very happy and right at home. Thanks, Barry, for yet another extremely wonderful experience!! - Margaret Cavitt (Atlanta, GA) (9/22/2005) August 4: It was our 15-year anniversary and we had planned a trip to Las Vegas to celebrate. Let's face it, we deserve to celebrate big time after 15 years right?! I ordered side stage tickets and I was thrilled with the seats. We were 2nd row, and Barry came over and was shaking hands with folks in the front row and I stood up and reached out to Barry and he was gracious enough to take another minute and shake my hand too! It was an awesome anniversary and and awesome time! We are definitely coming back out to Vegas for another show in 2006. Can't wait! Barry, keep performing exactly the same way... from your heart. It works!! Much admiration for your talent. - Kristy Hargett, tickle me pink girl (Charlotte, NC) (11/2/2005) August 3: What a wonderful night! It was an Anniversary surprise arranged entirely by hubby. The Hilton was lovely and the seats were nearly on Barry's lap we were so close. And the [platform] thing [over the audience] nearly made me die when he smiled right at me and only me. MY favorite song is ALL of them! He is the iconic musician of our time! - Wendi (Discovery Bay, California) (7/23/2013) |

August 13: I liked absolutely everything about the concert. Barry is such an awesome performer. I especially liked when the stairs came down from the ceiling and he walked up them to the little stage there in the center. It was right above me; I loved that version of "Copa." But like I said, I loved the whole show. It is hard to pick a favorite moment, it was all awesome! - Amy Bono (of Kansas City) (8/17/2005) August 13: I am 11 years old and I came all the way from London with my mum and dad to see Barry. I've loved Barry ever since my dad bought my mum "Ultimate Manilow" for Mother's Day last year! I thought the show was an experience of a lifetime! My favorite songs he sang were "They Dance," "Weekend In New England," "Mandy" and "Could It Be Magic"! His voice was incredibly strong and he was very nice and funny. He also had fantastic back up singers and dancers! I tried wildly to get his attention but he didn't respond, although I think he looked at me and smiled! I will never forget the concert and would love to see him again some day!! - Rachel Passer (London, England) (8/28/2005) I was the lucky winner of the Richard and Judy show in the UK who won two tickets to see Barry (*front row*) with five nights accomodations and flight tickets to Las Vegas Hilton from the UK. I would just like to say Barry was FANTASTIC, and verrrrrry entertaining, as was Barry's backing group. I had never seen Barry live before! It was such an overwhelming show for myself and my husband. All I can say is GO AND SEE HIM!! - Geraldine Campbell (of the UK) (9/10/2005) August 10: First Barry concert - Karen Roach (Columbus, OH) (4/23/2006) I had had my ticket for Left Side stage seats since late last year and was hoping that after 20 plus years of loving Barry's music, I would finally get a handshake or a wave. I was celebrating my 40th birthday (a couple of weeks early) that weekend. Well, guess what? It happened! Barry came out and he started singing. He turned towards each side of the stage and when he looked in the Left Side Stage direction, I looked at him and I thought, it's so wonderful to finally be there watching his show! I put my hands up to my face and he looked at me (He probably thought, what am I doing to that poor lady!). Barry did his skit ("Very Strange Medley") and then sang "Somewhere Down The Road" on the Rock Bottom Side. That was awesome, because the way his stool was set up, when he pulled it forward, he was facing me. He sang the song and I was singing quietly along with him! When he finished, Barry slowly backed away through the little makeshift curtain they have on that side, then continued the show. But when "Copacabana" started, he went to the Right Stage seats and shook some people's hands, then Barry walked towards the Left Stage seats. Then he walked towards me and I took his hand, with both of my hands! That was one of the best moments of my life!! I hope everyone gets the chance to experience such a wonderful moment. I also saw both shows on Saturday, August 13, 2005. They were awesome as well! - Linda Tamargo Perez (Kissimmee, FL) (6/14/2006) August 13: At the concert in Las Vegas I was able to get fourth row seats. My sister from Ohio joined me and two of my friends from Indiana. We had such a great time. The air was electrified with all the excitement. Barry is truly the best performer around! - Carol Corbett (LaPorte, IN) (10/5/2009) First, I had never been to Las Vegas. I had side front row seats. When Barry came out of that puff of smoke, I just started balling! He was REAL! Like watching a Disney character come to life. Barry, you were the most beautiful guy I had ever seen! I was so close I could see your blue eyes, your shoes, your hair... even the material of your clothing! All I did was cry even when you would come over to my side. It was my dream come true. Much more than I could have ever imagined. Really, I almost didn't remember all the performance, because my eyes just followed every move you made. I would have loved to reach out a hand just to touch you. I was shaking when the show was over. From then on I went back every year after that. You are my hero and inspiration, and I play all your music that warms my heart, every day. With all my thanks, for all your talent you share, and more. - Cindy C. September 8: Barry is the greatest artist and entertainer I've ever seen. My husband and I came all the way from Japan just to see Barry in Las Vegas! We have seen his DVDs and listened to CDs so many times before, however, his voice was far better than any of those. We completely fell in love with him. We love his voice, the way he sings, and the way he dances, especially for "Copacabana"!! I wish I could see his show every night. We really enjoyed every single minute during his show. His voice even made us cry since we could feel that he really sings from the bottom of his heart. We only saw him twice while we were staying in Las Vegas this time, but we will definitely come back to see him again during 2006. Thank you for your great show, Barry! - Kazue Imori (Tokyo, Japan) (9/11/2005) September 7: Barry is such a wonderful entertainer. I was in row 8 center and I enjoyed the concert so much. He has such a great voice and attitude. The stage just opened up when he came on to perform. I had a cancer and I was not sure I would be able to attend (it turned out to be a basal cell carsonoma [and] the doctor got it all). That was the best concert I have ever been to. I was so happy I could attend. Barry kept me going just thinking about going to see him! I have been to several of Barry's concerts but this was the best. Thanks for everything, Barry. - Karen Shegogue (Jacksonville, FL) (10/8/2005) September 7-8: Favorite Barry Manilow Show so far? Las Vegas Hilton. The Side-Stage seating. You are so close to Barry! It's up close and personal... whoever came up with that idea was brilliant!! - Elizabeth Prater (Dayton, TX) (10/28/2005) September 10: I had tickets even with the side stage, front row. When he was on our side of the stage singing a dance song, he came over and took both my hands and danced with me and looked at me with those beautiful baby blue eyes. It was the best moment ever to be touched physically by Barry. His music always touches my heart. Best Concert Ever!! - Janie Haney Stover (Lacey, Washington) (5/22/2015) |

September 15: I flew to Las Vegas for the first time just for the Barry Manilow concert. It was well worth the trip. I enjoyed the show tremendously. I've been a Manilow fan since the 70's. My oldest son named our car "Barry Manilow" because that was all that was heard on eight track tapes. I look forward to attending other concerts now that the kids are grown and on their own. LOVED IT!! - Tania Irizarry (Miami, FL) (9/20/2005) September 15: I loved everything about the concert. I have been and always will be a "Barry Manliow fan. That was the best birthday gift I have ever gotten. Barry Manilow will always write the songs. I only wish the show was longer! ... I brought home so many souvenirs I thought I wasn't going to be able to fit in the plane. Again the show in Vegas was the greatest. My best to Barry! You "haven't lost the feeling" and never will. Thank you for a wonderful show. Forever in my memories and in my heart, Maria Del Campo (Miami, FL) (9/20/2005) September 15, 16, 17: My daughter, Mandy, and I were on our first trip to Vegas, with Music and Passion being our "Ultimate" goal. We sat in the 5th row on Thursday, 2nd row side stage (Rock Bottom side) on Friday, and front row on Saturday evening. We were once again overwhelmed by the Magic of the evening. When Barry sang "Somewhere Down The Road, on Thursday, he stared directly into the eyes of my daughter and winked to her as he ended with..."you belong to me". Friday night, I was able to shake Barrys hand and just say... "Thank You". Saturday, I got all I wanted when Barry sang "See The Show Again." I even got to meet Kyle in the lobby of the Hilton at 4 am on Sunday, before we left. He was kind enough to have his picture taken with me, and what a surprise when I showed my daughter the photo when I returned with our coffee. I could go on and on, but I am sure that everyone reading this knows how much these concerts mean to all of us. - Wayne O'Shell (Courtice, Ontario, Canada) (11/7/2005) September 16: After a very big life changing year for me, my sister and I decided we needed a "girls only" trip. I have listened to Barry for 30 years and have told everyone that if I ever got the chance to see him in person I would. Well we drove 15 hours, over 1,000 miles to get there and every mile was worth it! When we arrived at the show I was so excited, I couldn't believe I was actually going to see Barry in person. When the show started I was stunned. When he sang "Even Now," he did it with so much passion, it left me breathless. At one point during "Somewhere Down The Road" I looked over at my sister and she was just sitting there. I was wondering if she was enjoying the show... she asked me later what the name of that song was. She said she had never heard it before and it touched her so much that she was fighting back the tears. Barry is as wonderful as ever. When he sang along with the video of "Mandy" from The Midnight Special that was recorded 30 years ago it was spectacular! It sent shivers through me. I also loved the songs from Here At The Mayflower. It's always wonderful to hear the classic favorites but it's also great to hear new material. I also loved when he did the William Tell Overture with all his singers. You can tell they had a lot of fun with it and they made it look so easy to do. Yet you know it took a lot of hard work to be able to bring it together. When he sang "One Voice" a capella, my heart almost broke. Between knowing it was the last song I would get to hear him sing and listening to his rich voice all alone on that dark stage with those green lights on him was speechless. After the concert we met up with relatives and they said I was glowing, and I still am! Many, many years ago I used to be in the performing arts and after experiencing Barry's show I want to get back to those roots. I have been to other concerts before, they leave you feeling good. Barry leaves you not only feeling good but wanting to go out and be that best you can be at what ever you do, because that is what he is and does. Thank you, Barry! - Jeanine Bailey (of Montana) (11/16/2005) I have been to at least 30 of Barry's concerts and loved the all, but that night in September, I had a stage seat and I got to shake and touch his hands. WHAT A THRILL! And he sang my favorite song right in front of me, "Somewhere Down The Road." Never forgot that night! - Nancy Gutkowski (Arlington Heights, IL) (5/3/2009) |

September 23: This was my second Barry Manilow show, and again it was a birthday present - this time from my hubby. The show was amazing and everything a Las Vegas show should be. I wasn't really into Vegas before our trip, but now I'm planning another just to see Barry again! - Kellie Phillips Millican (Gadsden, AL) (11/1/2005) September 21: I have [watched Barry's] concerts on videotape or DVD. Seeing him 'live' though blew me away. While everything about the show was great, it was when he spoke about his early years like having to wear yellow striped jackets just to get noticed that tugged at the heartstrings. I flew 10,000 miles from my country mainly for this show, and it was worth it. Barry, you're the greatest! - Sharon De Costa (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) (11/7/2005) September 21: My husband took me to Vegas for our 20th anniversary. Knowing how much I love Barry Manilow he purchased tickets for this night. I grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and I know exactly where he grew up and what he talks about in his shows. That night was a dream come true. I actually got to meet him. There is a part in his show where he picks someone out of the audience to help put on a white dinner jacket, well, I was that person! He kept referring to me the entire night! So yes, it was the Best Barry Manilow I have and will ever see!! - Susan (of New Jersey) (1/27/2006) |

October 20: This was my second trip from Sydney, Australia to see Music and Passion, and it was worth every cent. Barry gets better each time I see him. His voice just sends shivers up your spine. I was lucky enough to have a stage seat to one of the shows and thought I would not be the one to picked to be the jacket lady but I was wrong. Boy that few minutes talking with Barry was worth the long long trip here. Barry puts everything into the show and is a true showman, one of a kind. No one comes close. Thank you, Barry, for sharing your music with me over the last 30 years. I will definitely be back to (as you say) "See the Show Again." - Caroline Dinnen (Sydney, Australia) (10/21/2005) October 22: I was given the BIGGEST hug by Barry! This was my second trip to Vegas to see him. I am 32-years old and I LOVE HIM! - Karen (of Connecticut) (10/24/2005) October 20: I loved everything about the concert! This was my first Barry Manilow concert and he blew me away. His voice is really strong! I was amazed at how much power he had in his vocal performance. I always thought I loved him as an arranger/composer -- but I'm as equally impressed with his voice. I've seen a lot of concerts and Mr. Manilow's show is one of my favorites! I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to see him in person. - Jennifer (of Puyallup, WA) (10/25/2005) When I first saw Barry [in the 70s] I was in nursing school (and struggling with balancing school), overweight, and newly diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease which was going to stop my nursing career. Barry made me feel I could do anything, that the end was NOT near... I bought every Barry album I could and listened intently, especially when I was receiving chemotherapy, which helped me beat cancer, stay in school, lose weight, and become a nurse. When I saw Barry in Las Vegas, I sat in the front row and he touched my hand. I had come full circle! I thank Barry for contributing to my life and my dreams. He is truly a wonderful performer but more importantly, a humble and sincere human being. - Jo Ann Ventura (of Connecticut) (1/26/2006) October 19: It was my first Music and Passion show and my friend and I had Rock Bottom Seats. We both got our first handshakes from Barry! I have Panic Disorder so it's hard for me to get out, but for Barry I did it. The show was fantastic and Barry is my all-time favorite singer and performer. I have seen two other shows since then including the PBS taping. Thanks, Barry, for giving us hope with your music. You have the most beautiful voice of anyone I have heard. - Cheryl Bowers (Lake Isabella, CA) (6/14/2006) The thing I loved about this concert is that my best friend (of 50 years) and I were in Vegas (my first time there) and were FRONT ROW CENTER! WOW!! I nearly passed out when he walked out and stood directly in front of me. I loved it! But of course what's not to like about Barry? I am a huge fan of the Broadway shows so this fit me for sure. The glitz, glamour and pizazz was unbelievable. Barry was so gracious and I felt like he was singing right to me. I also found a new friend who was at the concert with her husband. They were from Utah and I am from Ohio and we still keep in touch by e-mail. A new friendship made and all because of Barry. Thanks, Barry. See you next year!! - Sandi (of Hamilton, OH) (6/17/2007) October 22: We had side stage seats and when Barry came over to our side, I pulled him in and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Yes, I did it! - Christina Cerino (Hamilton, New Jersey) (3/3/2012) Loved the concert, especially "Copacabana" (My nephew can't get out "Copa-cabana" and calls it "Cocoa-cabana"!) - Karen Davis (Dayton, Ohio) (5/1/2012) I had the champagne seats up against the stage and I got to shake Barry's hand! I'm going to see Barry in Ft. Wayne and Pittsburgh next month (my 110th and 111th Manilow concerts)! I can't wait. Love you always, Barry!! - Rebecca Russell (Columbus, Ohio) (3/24/2013) |

October 29: I was in Vegas for a 6-day conference and I had no free time for seeing the sights, so I arranged to stay for an extra two days to enjoy my trip. I saw Barry for the very first time (after a 30-year wait), and man, was it magical! He is every bit the showman and fully belongs in Vegas as much as Dean, Frank, or Elvis did. I believe Vegas will be Barry's home from now on and deservedly so. The only drawback was the show was over way too soon. I could have listened to him sing all night. He sounded BETTER than his CDs! So, if you get the opportunity, go for it -- ou will never regret the money you spend on this man's concerts -- he gives it his all. YOU DA MAN, BARRY!! - Debby King (Columbus, MS) (11/2/2005) October 26: How amazing and wonderfully uplifting a Barry Manilow concert can be. This is what entertainment and music is all about. What an amazing showman and musician. I loved every moment. I was lucky to have stage tickets, and we are already buying them for next year's visit! Truly a wonderful evening with a wonderful performer. Unbelievable! We will plan our trip around his performances!! - Dana (of Olympia, WA) (11/4/2005) October 26: I just totally fell in love with Barry and his music. When Barry sings, it is like he is singing just to you. There is just something so personal about his songs. My granddaughter was named after "Mandy" and when he sings it, it always seems he is singing it for us. My whole family loves that song! I have loved his music for a long time and was just so glad I had the opportunity to see him. I will try to go back next year and hopefully sit closer. It is great to have someone like him in a world that can be so sad much of the time. I hope he knows how he makes people feel and the happiness he brings to us. THANK YOU, BARRY, FOR BEING YOU!! - Toni Wolford (Bradenton, FL) (formerly of Apollo, PA) (11/17/2005, 1/25/2011) October 27: "Barry's" music and performances truly reach the heart & soul of each fan. He is so talented & so "REAL". I saw him at the Hilton in Las Vegas. The concert was awesome, exciting & moving. I laughed, I cried, & screamed like a teen. It was a lifetime experience I'll never forget. I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to attend Barry's show. I enjoyed every minute of it and was so "moved" by the entire performance. Thank you, Barry, for sharing your talent and yourself with the world. Your "writing of the songs" have made such a huge impact on so many people (especially me). That night at the concert plays over and over again in my mind and the memory will linger there for a very very long time. I'd highly recommend seeing Barry Manilow in the "Music & Passion Show" at the Hilton. I know you too will be thrilled and moved by the whole experience. - Diane Listy (Rockledge, FL) (12/3/2005) October 27: What a show this was! I'd never flown before as I've always been scared of flying, but my husband booked the trip for my 50th birthday. I'm so glad I got on that plane. The whole experience was fantastic! It was great to see Barry in the smaller theater (instead of the usual arenas). Much more intimate. Felt like he was only singing to you. Hoping to go again in 2008! - Sue Woollin (Leeds, England) (3/13/2007) October 26: I fell forever in love with Barry when he came gliding out on a white grand piano singing "Mandy." What a talent, what charisma with his audiance. I'm a veteran concert-goer of the very biggest stars. No one has touched me like Barry. Awesome singers & dancers. A class act. A beautiful evening with a beautiful man. Love you Barry! - Sharon (of Michigan) (2/25/2008) |

November 19 (10:00 PM): This was my first Music and Passion Experience! What a night! What a venue! Barry was incredible as always. He looked great, sounded awesome and my stage seat experience was an experience that's for sure! My experience started with delightful service and champagne in our little area stage right... the music started, the crowd was great, then Barry made his way over to the stage right seats. Being that I am kind of a loud jumpy overstated woman dressed in very bright colors I couldn't be missed so I stood up and waved "hello" and unless I was dreaming (which I know I wasn't since I have a witness - my friend Linda), Barry stopped in his tracks and said "Well, hello there, what's your name?" I barely got out my name, "Sheryl," to which he replied "Julie"... I then said "Sheryl" again... which he replied out "nice to meet you Julie". Everyone in our little section screamed out "her name is 'Sheryl'" and he commented on the thing in his ear, apologized, and said "nice to meet you 'Sheryl'." Well, that was a one-of-a-kind experience that I can say hasn't happened at any other concerts over the past 29 years. The music and passion that Barry puts into his evening is so touching it brings tears to your eyes. We are so lucky to make new friends because of him and to celebrate his music with our "old friends" which have been acquired over so many years of beautiful music. Thanks, Barry, for a great show and for saying hello to me for the first time! Thank you for bringing so many people together and creating friendships that will last a lifetime! You are the best there is and we are blessed to have you and your songs in our lives! - Sheryl Wylie (San Diego, CA) (1/11/2006)November 18: A Birthday Memory
It was my daughter's 35th birthday you see So I asked what she would like from me A trip to Las Vegas she quickly replied One request I couldn't deny
So off we went to see the show The Marquee read Barry Manilow Copacabana was the song I knew So off we went to see you
Never in my wildest dreams Never in all my crazy schemes Would I have ever, ever thought of you Singing to us with those eyes of blue
Oh my God, this can't be true My daughter cried at the sight of you She's been your biggest fan for years So I cried too when I saw her tears
We sipped Champaign and pretended to be The only ones that you could see For the room was dark and how I wished you would sing That Copacabana song that would bring Back all those memories in my mind for me Of her when she was very, very small And not tall at all
Thanks for making me your fan that day And I will see you again on Row C in May Look for me with yellow feathers in my hair Singing Copacabana, I'll be there
A special thank you from me to you To tell you so much that all you do Is appreciated more than words can say You made our lives and made our day So blessed in each and every way

* PBS Taping * | * Manilow: Music & Passion DVD * The PBS taping of Music and Passion was so much fun. We were sitting in the front row on the Rock Bottom side. I was giddy about that. When he came over to shake our hands, I was in heaven. I have seen him every time he has come to Chicago since '83 and now he was right in front of me singing, "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours." I watched it on PBS and I am forever on a Barry video. It doesn't get any better than that! I think everyone feels like they know him, because he doesn't just sing. He talks to the audience. I'll never forget it! - Nancy Stytz (Buffalo Grove, IL) (3/18/2006) My favorite concert is the 100th show at the Las Vegas Hilton (DVD) because I can't get to Barry's concerts in person. I'm disabled but I am working to try and get to Vegas sometime. I have never seen a concert in person and I don't think I would make it if I did. They would have to carry me out of there after he got through swinging me around on stage while I was attached to his leg! But I have all the concerts on DVD and I love them all but for some reason, Barry, your voice just knocks me over in the 100th show at the Hilton. I don't know why because your voice is always great, but this one just blew me away I have never heard it so wonderful before. It was just out of this world. Thanks so much! Love and respect you! - Christine Cameron (Mt. Morris, MI) (4/30/2009, 6/11/2010) I was at the Music and Passion concert that Barry [did for the PBS taping]. It was by far the best concert of my life! Barry was fantastic, and I loved how he made the audience part of the concert. I can't wait to see him at the Paris Las Vegas! - Susan Minear (Laramie, WY) (1/22/2011) |

December 16: Benefit Concert for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation December 15-16: Going back to Vegas in December was a Christmas gift to myself and Barry made it the BEST CHRISTMAS GIFT that I've ever gotten! There were many changes with the show since June and Barry added the "Here At The Mayflower" medley so wonderfully! The new Greatest Songs of the Fifties section was great, and a bunch of Christmas songs were a real treat! What a wonderful way to spend a Holiday season, with Barry and old friends from Japan. Barry, thank you very much for "It s Just Another New Year s Eve"! It was really beautiful and was a very special song to me. Can t wait to going back again in 2006!! - May Kawahara (San Francisco, CA) (12/21/2005) December 17: This was the first time I've ever seen Barry Manilow live, although he has seen me through a lifetime of pain, joy, and love. He sings the music of my soul, and seeing him live in Vegas was such an awesome experience! This show was a gift from my sister for my 40th birthday, and one I will never ever forget. Thank you, Barry, for all your music, it touched every part of my being, and held me up when I couldn't anymore. My favorite song was "I Made It Through the Rain." You're awesome!! - Martha Daniel (Ney, OH) (12/22/2005) December 16-17: I attended three of the beautiful Christmas and Passion shows. At one of them, I had the honor of helping Barry with his jacket. Watching him perform "I Am Your Child" on the Dew Drop Inn side was very special to me. I loved the songs from the Christmas CDs, and seeing Suzanne Somers was a very nice surprise. The fifties songs were just amazing, and I can hardly wait for the CD to be released. Thank you for a wonderful time, Barry. I'm looking forward to seeing more Music and Passion shows in 2006. - Vicki Wallace (Alexandria, VA) (12/23/2005) I saw the last 4 shows in December in Las Vegas. I had 2nd row on the right side and when Barry appeared, I was lost for words and the two ladies beside me and myself began to cry. He looks great, his jackets are gorgeous and he looked just so happy. I love the Fifties songs being a child of that era. Barry does wonders with "Love is a Many Splendored Thing." I have never heard it sung the way Barry sang it. - Sandy Sera (Ashburn, VA) (12/28/2005) December 17: This was my very FIRST Barry concert! It was my Christmas present from my boyfriend and the very best gift I have ever received from him! Our seats were very close to the stage and I felt goosebumps throughout the whole show! It was a dream come true for me to attend one of Barry's concerts. I kept hearing what a fantastic performer he is, but to actually experience and witness it for myself, words will never be able to describe the feelings I had that night. I've been reliving the concert in my head since then. EVEN NOW I can't stop smiling ever time I think of it! Thanks, Barry, for a very BARRY Christmas!! - Susan (of California) (2/1/2006) The Las Vegas Hilton was the best concert because I was in the first row on stage, and Barry came over to me and asked me to help him on with his jacket!
