January 21 (10:00 PM): I sat in Stage Right, Row BB, Seat 8, not knowing who Barry was, [only] that all my life people said I look like him. Well all I can say is WOW! He blew me away!! Best show I've ever seen and I now [know] all his songs. I'm happy now when people say I look like him. Thanks, Barry. You're the best! - Danny Rhoten (Fargo, ND) (2/4/2006)

January 18: Who would have thought my second time to see Barry would be better than the first? Wow! We had excellent seats. My husband and I were in Section M-3 Seat 55 & 57 which is the aisle. We got a very good view when he was at Rock Bottom side. When he sang "Unchained Melody" major goose bumps broke out! This is also the first time I learned that he was doing the Greatest Songs of the Fifties which I could not wait to purchase when it was released (bought 4 copies!). When he started singing "Venus" the crowd went wild, and then who was walking down to the stage but none other than Frankie Avolon! What a surprise! The croud just screamed and went wild. It was such a fantastic show! It was over too fast. As Barry says in the Music and Passion DVD, "Time flies when your havin' fun, man!" Barry if you ever read this I want to say thank you for your music and how you have changed people's lives. I enjoy other singer/songwriters but I have to say that NO ONE'S music has EVER touched me the way your music touches me. Please don't ever stop making your music! - Karen Roach (Columbus, OH) (4/23/2006)

Highlights (1/18/2006): It's A Miracle / Mandy/Could It Be Magic / I Made It Through The Rain / Here's To Las Vegas (Intro) / A Very Strange Medley (State Farm, McDonald's) / Studio Musician / Can't Smile Without You / Bandstand Boogie / Venus (with special guest Frankie Avalon) / Love Is A Many Splendored Thing / Unchained Melody / Brooklyn Blues / Do You Know Who's Livin' Next Door / Come Monday / They Dance - Medley (Boogie Wonderland, Hot Stuff, Signed Sealed Delivered (I'm Yours), They Dance (Reprise)) / Brooklyn Blues (Reprise) / Are You Lonesome Tonight / Somewhere Down The Road / I Write The Songs / Copacabana (I See You Baby mix) + encore / It's A Miracle (Reprise)

February 15: Can't believe I had to go nearly 20 years between shows (first saw Barry in Milwaukee, June 30, 1985), but he was just as good as I remembered. I am definitely going again! - Laura (of Minnesota) (3/8/2006)

[What I liked was the] Pure Magic Passion Music Atmosphere and the energy that Barry puts into his performances, and the way he sings and [arranges] the music and lyric in the songs, thinking it is you he is only singing too, whether in front of 40,000 (like Blenheim Palace 1983) or in Vegas with only 1500. - Bev Mitchell (Essex, England)

What I liked about the show was Barry's charm, childish smile, and sometimes his sadness, which makes that want to take him in my arms; also, his very beautiful blue eyes and his very professional orchestra. Bravo, Barry Manilow! Your show is fantastic. I'll return this year with many friends from France! - Michele Cond (of France) (3/10/2006)

March 4 (late show): This Las Vegas show was awesome! Because I've been a huge Fanilow since I was about five. My mom got us tickets for my 21st birthday. We flew the whole way from Pennsylvania to Las Vegas for the weekend just to see Barry. By the time the concert started at 10:00 PM, we had already been up 22 hours. We were completely exhausted, but that didn't stop us Manilooneys! We screamed, cried, and somehow managed to sing along to every song from the first row in the balcony. I've got to say, I love the Mayflower album and I am so thrilled that he includes that in his show. It was quite a different experience, but still a great one. My favorite part had to have been when Barry climbed onto the suspended stage. He was literally only 20 feet away from us. I swear I almost fell over the balcony in disbelief! It was great to see him for my 8th time and I hope there are many more to come! Viva (Barry in) Las Vegas!! - Jennifer Cole (Hollidaysburg, PA) (3/10/2006)

March 3: I saved up for this concert for about a year. The show was outstanding! I feel Barry has saved my life over the years with his music. He's gotten me through sexual abuse in my teenage years, suicide, life saving surgery, and past relationships. I'm hoping to get to see his show in NYC coming up in January. I'm saving again for his Vegas show. Hopefully I can get to see him again soon! YOU'RE A LIFE SAVER FOR ME, BARRY! - Sandy (of New Jersey) (11/19/2006)

March 18 (7:30 PM): It was my 44th birthday. My friend and I had front row seat tickets. The show was absolutely fabulous! The set and music were awesome and Barry looked fantastic and sang beautifully. My favorite part of the show was the Dew Drop Inn sequence because he performed "Studio Musician" which was only on his LIVE album from the '70s. I quietly sang every word as I blinked back tears. I so love the lyrics because my husband is a musician and he will never realize fame or recognition, but he plays anyway for the sheer pleasure of it. At the end, when Barry shook the hands of everyone in the front row... time stood still for me, just for a moment, when those big blues eyes locked with mine as he shook my hand. That brief connection was something so special. I know he won't remember and probably didn't notice, but I'll remember it, always. Yeah - that was the BEST birthday celebration I've EVER had. So lovely to see everyone so up close and personal. Happy Birthday to me! Thanks to Barry, his awesome backup singers, and his marvelous band! His music has been the soundtrack of my life and my inspiration. - Kathleen Bell (Garden Grove, California) (3/20/2006, 5/10/2015)

March 17: The concert was wonderful as always. I sat in front row with Platinum Package. I got to meet Barry in person and had a chance to talk to him up close. He is such a wonderful person and very interesting to talk to. Barry made me feel so at ease and comfortable. I have always been afraid of flying and this time I was by myself. But it was worth every minute knowing I was going to meet Barry and see a wonderful concert. I have been to several Barry concerts and Music and Passion is so spectacular. I will never forget that night! I look forward to seeing more of Barry's Music and Passion concerts. Barry is truly a gentleman and a wonderful performer. - Karen Shegogue (Jacksonville, FL) (7/7/2006)

Waited 12 years to see him and it was worth the wait! The man is a legend. Counting the days to go again!! - Sarah (of Liverpool, England) (9/11/2006)

March 18: What I loved about the concert was that I got to shake hands with Barry for the first time. I will be attending my 55th concert on August 3, 2012 in Indianapolis. Just Love Barry !! - Judy Snyder (Delaware, Ohio) (6/24/2010, 7/24/2012)

March 25 (late show): This is the Best Show in Vegas!! This was my third concert in one year. If I went to a zillion of Barry's concerts, I would still be in amazement of the most beautiful man in music, ever! I was sitting on the stage, second row, first seat and at times five feet from Barry, the closest I have ever been to him. It took all of my will not to jump over the first row (The lucky jacket lady was sitting right in front of me) and just hug him! This was also my "birthday eve" and it was a perfect one, except it was over [too soon]. Barry is THAT great and amazing. I have a platinum package ticket for June 30th ... Hope I don't faint when I actually see him! His stay at the Las Vegas Hilton has been extended, I hope forever! I will see him as many times as I possibly can!! With my deepest admiration and gratitude and love - Sandy Devine (El Paso, TX) (4/3/2006)

March 25: My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Music and Passion and sat in the Front Row (right side) in front of Barry's piano. It was such an amazing night to see the look on my wife's face when Barry came over to shake the fans' hands. The "jacket lady" was right next to my wife, however, she got to "touch" Barry a few times. He put on an amazing show, one I'd highly recommend to folks out there. Well worth the ticket price to purchase stage seats and Row BB (I believe we were seats 7 and 8). - Anthony Tako (Wauconda, IL) (7/31/2006)

March 30: Was in Las Vegas for a few days with my daughter Carol. This was a night we'll never forget. My heart skipped a few beats of joy when Barry sang all the beautiful love songs. Barry was the BEST memory for us in Las Vegas. Thank you! - Martha, 80 years young (of North Adams, MA) (4/22/2006)

March 29: This was my second concert, even though I have been a fan since the release of "Mandy." I went to Las Vegas for my birthday and specifically to see Barry. It was a night to remember sitting on stage right, and being asked to help him with his jacket. I had no idea this was coming, since I had never been to the concerts in Las Vegas before. What a treat and what a great birthday present. Barry gave me a huge hug, a kiss on the cheek, and a "happy birthday to you" song. I met a new friend that night also and have since returned and become a HUGE FANILOW reborn! Can't wait to go again and experience the magic of the man and his music. - Suzanne Shaffer (Corpus Christi, TX) (9/10/2006)

March 31: My parents took me for my 38th birthday to see Barry Manilow in Las Vegas. I was fortunate enough to meet Barry Manilow as part of the Platinum Experience. I am terrified to fly but knew this would be my only opportunity to meet Barry and express how much he has meant to me for 30+ years. I had the time of my life that night. Having a front row seat with my parents by my side was just fabulous. I danced for the entire show and was in "Sweet Heaven." I still get excited when I tell family and friends about the show. Having a picture with Barry Manilow is also very, very special. - Christine Gatta (Haverford, PA) (4/15/2009)

April 15 (early AND late shows!): TWO truly outstanding performances of Music and Passion. And I have been fortunate enough to have seen this production 21 times! Barry was full of energy (and passion) for both performances. Always keep a Mayflower cut like "Not What You See" in the show, Barry! - Aline Nagler (Las Vegas, NV) (6/19/2006)

April 14: I met Barry in person at the Las Vegas Hilton! I have been a fan since the beginning. Barry puts on a wonderful show. I saw him three times in concert, and each time was a thrill! - Sheila (of Brooklyn, New York) (8/18/2009)

This was the first time I ever visited Vegas and I came soley to see Barry perform since I hadn't been able to afford to see him in concerts for a long time. I brought my son Sean and we sat in the stage seats on the left. We had our pictures taken and I was served champagne. I usually don't like wine or champagne but this brand was very good! The show was amazing! I was so happy to see Barry after so many years! We also made eye contact at one point and he smiled at me. I will never forget this special time in my life. I also shopped at the Manilow store and bought a tee shirt that I still wear today, even though I lost over 100 pounds since then. I just can't give up the shirt and the memories that came with it! - Donna Mercer (North Rose, New York) (10/23/2011)

April 21: I liked hearing "Memory," "All The Time," "Some Kind of Friend" (I didn't expect them!), and "Unchained Melody." April 22 (10:00 PM): I had a good seat to see the song "Copacabana." April 22 (7:30 PM): I LOVED "See the Show Again," and that I was lucky enough to get a handshake from Barry. Thank you, Barry, for making my birthday weekend special! - Andrea Schnitzer (West Bloomfield, MI) (4/25/2006)

April 19: I've been wanting to see Barry for 3 years, and finally got my chance. I am a fan club member, but by the time I joined, it was too late to get front row seats, so I was in the 12th row and it was great. I just love everything he sang, and really enjoyed his singers and musicians also. I was overwhelmed by his strong, beautiful voice. I am so thankful to have been able to see him and may go back in June and see him again! - Rueann Marras (Lake Charles, LA) (4/26/2006)

April 28 and April 29 (early & late shows): Even from California, it is not an easy task for me to travel to Vegas, but what can I say? As you hear on the TV commercials: Flying to Vegas ... $$$ ... Staying at Hilton Hotel ... $$$ ... Experiencing the Music & Passion Show ... PRICELESS!!! Yes, this production is really amazing! Every time we go back to Vegas, Barry awaits us with pleasant surprises: new songs, new segment, new medleys and something totally unexpected. This particular trip reminded me a lot of my first times [I saw Barry], especially the late Saturday show with "Cloudburst," "I Was a Fool" (my all-time favorite and first time heard live), "Daybreak" and "It's a Miracle." I remembered how I was blown away when I first saw Barry singing (1978 Greek Theatre concert) and how I was smitten by his charms when I saw him in person at my first concert, back in 1983... I was so amazed that I felt the same thrill go through me nearly 30 years later! Barry, Great or not (you are too modest), you are the best and you are always my #1!! - May Kawahara (San Francisco, CA) (7/9/2006)

When Barry did a tribute to the families of the military in Las Vegas in late April 2006, it was just after my son had deployed, I was crying again. What a wonderful heart Barry has, and his talent makes it all very special and touching! Thanks for the wonderful memories! - Barbara Meyer (Salt Lake City, UT) (4/9/2010)

This show was GREAT! So different to what I'd seen Barry do in the UK. Really loved the show. Some good interaction with Barry and his fans. My husband said it was the best show he'd seen and wished he too could move like Barry! All in all, made our trip to Vegas even more special. - Linda Horner (of the UK) (5/7/2011)

Ladies, if you have a stage seat you will be so close. Barry knows how to work the crowd and connects with his audience. So glad he is at the Hilton now, and for a long time to come. May 31: After being a devoted fan for over 30 years, this night will go down as my most special concert. I was finally able to hold Barry's hand for a few seconds and it was like the other 1700 people just disappeared. I attended Music and Passion last year, but I have to say that the show has only gotten better. No one will ever touch me the way Barry has all these years. He's got to be the sexiest man alive. I hope he stays at the Hilton for many years to come... I'll be there every year! - Lori Domingo (Tampa, FL) (6/14/2006)

May 31: We came with our 8-year-old son from Germany and it was his first concert ever. A new Barry Manilow Fan is born! We all loved the show and we were really impressed with the great superstar with the perfect voice, Barry Manilow. We will come again from Germany next year to see Barry again! - Martina Tendera (of Germany) (7/5/2006)

June 3: I've followed Barry since 1974. MY husband died of cancer in 2005. My children took me to Vegas to fulfill my life-long dream -- it would have been our 49th wedding anniversary. They had a Limo take us to Hilton just like I was somebody. I had 5th row seat middle aisle. I was so emotional I wanted my husband there to share the dream come true. I cried so hard that I missed all the show [but] I wouldn't [trade anything] for this memory!! - Margie Arnold (Vero Beach, FL) (5/15/2009)

The three shows I went to were spectacular. When Barry emerged from the smoke the "Manilow Magic" began. Barry looked smashing and wonderful. His voice is just as beautiful as ever. He sang and danced and paced from one end of the stage to the other with unlimited energy. He's the best. I plan to see five shows next spring 2007!! - Maria S. Celis (Burlington TWP, NJ) (7/5/2006)

June 28: This concert rocked! We had front row, dead center. I thought I'd die being so close to our man. Barry is better than ever! So vibrant, and THAT VOICE! Barry is like fine wine, he gets finer with age. I enjoyed "I Am Your Child," immensely. It made me cry [as] I have three children, three wonderful boys! After every Barry concert, I just want to go back. I cannot get enough of him. Thanks, Barry, for giving so much of yourself. Take care of yourself and I hope you play for many more years! - Barb Miller (Myrtle Beach, SC) (7/7/2006)

June 29: I liked everything about this concert. It was my first visit to Vegas and I was so happy to see Barry after all of those years. He was absolutely wonderful!! I love him still. It just goes to show that if you live long enough, anything can happen. - Kathy Reno (Toledo, OH) (7/19/2006)

June 29: It was a night I will never forget. After the deaths of my husband and both my parents in the last few years I had not experienced happiness in my life for some time. At that concert I sat in the front row and felt true joy. It reminded me that life can always have those moments. I will be ever grateful to Barry for giving me that special gift. His music always touches my soul but that night was magical. As a result I am happier and looking forward to having my dream of meeting him come true with the Platinum Package next March. I'm already counting the weeks. - Jeanette Wall (Eagan, MN) (9/10/2006)

June 30: The whole evening was a dream come true (Platinum Experience). We were all treated like queens at the Hilton. I will hold that time with Barry deep down in my heart forever! I was in his airspace!! I had a front row, seat 1, ticket and it was the best concert in the history of concerts in this whole wide world. I cried every moment of it too, even through "Copacabana." I tell the whole world to come see his show. I just purchased my 2007 ticket for a stage seat (left side), first row in the middle. I am so excited as those are great seats for anyone wondering. I thank Barry everyday for such a special and perfect moment in time. GO SEE THE SHOW!! - Sandy Devine (El Paso, TX) (10/10/2006)

First Show (June 28): Barry, when you came out on stage, I couldn't stop the smile on my face from just growing huge! When you started singing "Moonlight Serenade," I literally gasped, because my father had recently passed away and I had grown up listening to Glenn Miller. Thank you for a beautiful memory. I've seen you several more times in Vegas, plus Providence and the Mohegan Sun Casino, but there is just nothing as magical as the first time. Thank you for your beautiful music, that never fails to move me and evokes such wonderful memories... - Kathleen McGann (of Connecticut) (1/13/2012)

July 5: I've been to 20 Music and Passion shows in Las Vegas and they have all been wonderful, but the show on July 5th will always have a special place in my heart. My friend Tracy and I were sitting in the front row of the left side stage. When Barry began singing "It's Not For Me To Say," my heart started pumping so fast I thought it would jump right out of my chest. I knew when he started walking towards our section that he would be picking someone to dance with him to this beautiful song. I really never thought it would be me (although I had hoped it would be). As he walked over singing the song I must have started swaying my head back and forth to the music and as Barry approached our row, he looked at me and my friend Tracy and started swaying his head back and forth with mine. I smiled, and he smiled and kept singing. As he finished the first verse he looked right at me and asked, "Wanna dance?" I could have just melted right then and there. He took my hand and guided me up to the area of the stage where he wanted me, and we danced. It was a moment I will never forget. He was so sweet and held my hand as we danced and when it was over, he thanked me for the dance and we blew each other a kiss. Barry always gives 110% of himself during each and every show. No matter how many times I go to Music and Passion it is like a new experience for me. I look forward to my next trip to Vegas in November of this year to see four more shows! No matter how many shows I will see, I don't think any show will compare to the night I had my "dance" with Barry! - Kay Gardner (Chicago, IL) (9/10/2006)

The concert on July 6 will always be my special day. I had attended the previous night and sat in the 3rd row, but this night was special. It was my birthday and I had on-stage seating. Barry came out so cute, jumping around and waving to my side of the stage. I was so excited! I have been a fan since the beginning and this was the first time I was this close. I couldn't wait until the segment where he would be sitting at the piano right in front of me! All of a sudden I looked up and there he was walking in front of us, shaking hands. I was so thrilled to be able to shake his hand, if only for a moment. I was busy taking pictures when near the end of show Barry started walking to the side of the stage again! He was going to shake more hands. I looked up, and Barry stopped in front of me and extended his hand a second time. Two handshakes in one night! The women next to me who goes to almost all of this shows said "Barry never does TWO handshakes," which made me feel so special! Thank you, Barry, for making that MY special day! - Diane Adam (Cincinnati, OH) (1/26/2011)

July 15: What I liked about this show was the personal way Barry conducted his concert. It was beautifully done. It was awesome to hear the old hits and I was very impressed with the manner in which Barry presents his music - Entertaining, with passion and humility. It was the best evening of my vacation. - Mary Anne Shugrue (Clinton, CT) (7/28/2006)

July 12: I, along with 3 friends, flew to Las Vegas on July 12, 2006 from Birmingham, AL for the 9:00 show that night. We arrived at the Hilton, had dinner and anxiously awaited for the show to begin. We could not have been more thrilled. It is so exciting to see Barry continue to give us his best after all these years! We had stage left front row seats. Barry and I danced to "It's Not For Me To Say" from his 50's CD. Nothing could have been better. The band sounded great and Kye and the girls were so much fun to watch. Truly a trip of a lifetime for me and my friends. If anyone was there that night who has photos of my dance with Barry, please e-mail me. I would appreciate it! - Linda Sims (Gadsden, AL) (9/15/2006)

I liked the Music and Passion show because we sat in the front row of the VIP side and saw Barry close up. He interacted with people and acted out "Copacabana." - Kellie (of Downey, CA) (6/13/2009)

BMIFC Convention 2006 -- August 4-6

August 4: This was the first concert where my husband went with me. Usually my sister and I would go so we could scream and dance in the aisles and just let ouselves go. But this was our 25th wedding anniversary and I really wanted to see Barry sing again, so my husband made my dream come true. What was great is that he enjoyed the concert too. He didn't get up and dance like I did, but he agreed that Barry puts on a great show. I have loved Barry and his music for 30 years. He is like a fine wine. He just gets better every year. We'll probably never get out west again, but I'm so thankful that my husband was willing to give me my dream for our anniversary and let me see Barry in person one last time. The whole show was fantastic. I still can't believe I was there! - Rhonda Finn (Spring Lake, MI) (8/16/2006)

August 5: I have been a devoted Barry fan for years. I am close to Barry's age so I grew up with American Bandstand and "Copacabana." Having three wonderful kids and a demanding job teaching 20 first graders, I resigned myself to watching Barry's DVDs and listening to all my CDs when I was able to catch a few moments for myself. Six years ago I mentioned to my sister and brother-in-law that I wish I could go to Vegas for my birthday and finally see Barry's show at the Hilton. We said: What are we waiting for!? -- And we made arrangements. We had front row seats! Just before the show started, my sister said I could change seats with her so I'd be closer to the middle of the row. Long story short, Barry picked her to come up and dance with him! I was heartbroken. It was My Birthday and I wanted that dance... If I kept my original seat it would have been me! We laugh about it now and have fond memories of that wonderful concert. Since then I've been to many other concerts but nothing compared to that first one when I almost danced with Barry Manilow! - Phyllis Leavy (Morristown, New Jersey) (2/27/2012)

I loved everything about the concert on August 12, 2006. Especially the song "Mandy." He did that song so fantastic. That is my favorite song, well... one of them. I loved the "They Dance" part of the show, the medley. I also loved when he sang "Unchained Melody" and "Venus" and "Love Is a Many Splendored Thing." This was an awesome concert. Barry is just an Awesome AWESOME performer/entertainer. I cant wait to see him again! - Amy Bono (Overland Park, KS) (9/11/2006)

August 9: I was taking my first plane ride at age 37 and spending four days in Las Vegas and it was all because of Barry! I have been a fan since I was a kid in the '70's and had recently became a bonafide "Manilow Nut!" Right before we left for the trip, I heard about Barry's hip injuries and I was so afraid that he would cancel the show but at the same time I was afraid that he would "over do it" and hurt himself worse! Needless to say, Barry did play for me/us and I could NOT take my eyes of him! I couldn't believe that he was there in front of me in the same room!! I don't think I believe it still! My sister tried in vain to get my attention during the show, but I was mesmerized! I am so appreciative to Barry for playing the show when he was in pain. He smiled right through it, you wouldn't have even known he was injured! He even got up and danced on the raised platform for "Copacabana!" I did NOT think he would do THAT! What a guy! My hero! Thanks Barry! I can't wait to come back to Vegas to see you again! - Lisa D. Hunt (Salt Lake City, UT) (11/23/2006)

August 16: It was my 60th birthday and I had front row seats and could not wait to spend it with Barry. However, he limped onstage and could not perform because of the torn cartilage in his hips. He did do one song: "I Made It Through The Rain." This has to be my all-time favorite song because the lyrics "spoke" to me during rough periods in my life. And I realized once again what a truly great performer Barry Manilow is and always will be. He could have placed a sign out front that he could not perform, but [being the] wonderful person that he is, he came out in person (Of course, I think he did it JUST FOR ME!!). I am so grateful for all the perfomances I have seen since and that I will see in the future. - Donna George (San Diego, CA) (6/26/2007)

An Evening of Music and Passion

Barry Manilow in Concert: The superstar concert artist, composer and producer will perform his blockbuster hits as well as highlights from his "Manilow: Music and Passion" Las Vegas show.

The show was AMAZING! All of his concerts are great but this one blew me away. I laughed, I cried, I lost my voice, BUT that happens at all his shows. I have been going to see Barry Manilow concerts for close to 25 years. This one holds a special place in my heart. Not only was it Barry's first concert after [hip] surgery, but I ran into an old friend after the show. We lost touch a few years ago (How's that for a Miracle!?). Barry looked and sounded GREAT! I can honestly say his shows never get stale. Lots of old songs but plenty of new. Barry NEVER disappoints! - Cathy (of New Jersey) (10/16/2006)

I have been in love with Barry for 30 years. He is the most honest and inspiring person I have ever known. I hope before I die, I get to meet him personally. That has been my life long dream. He is such a showman and the concert he put on was very moving and emotional. He truly appreciates those who have loved him from the start. - Becky (of Indiana) (10/20/2006)

I loved everything about the concert! Barry put on a really, REALLY great show. It would have been great if my mom and dad could have seen it and we could have met him. - Susan Hartzell (Yarville, NJ) (10/25/2006)

My daughter bought me tickets for my birthday in May and I have been looking forward to this concert since then. The Atlantic City show was really special since it was his first one back after his surgery. I have loved Barry for a very long time and have just loved seeing him perform. I plan to see many more shows and will be taking my grandaughter, Mandy (named after his song) to see him for her 21st Birthday. Watching Barry perform makes me feel really good, even on a bad day. Since my husband's death Barry's songs have helped me get through some rough times... Thank you so much, Barry, for being there for me. My big dream is to possibly meet you some day but I am sure if I did I would not be able to put into words how you make me feel. You are a really special person. - Toni Wolford (Apollo, PA) (10/25/2006)

This was not only my first Barry Concert, but Barry's first concert since his surgery. I've been to Atlantic City a few times before but this time will be the one that I'll remember the most! My parents were with me. Their tickets were a 38th anniversary present from me. After the show I got a hug and kiss from my dad thanking me for their present. My favorite moments at the show were (1) when Barry first came out, Melanie, Monica and Keely were all dressed as nurses, and Kye was dressed as a doctor pushing our favorite patient (Barry) around in a wheelchair, and standing proud on Barry's lap was his Emmy award; and (2) when Barry got to sing full versions of both "Could It Be Magic" and "Mandy." Thanks, Barry, for making your first show back at Atlantic City, and also for making a great memory for my parents and me! - Corinne (of Danville, PA) (10/27/2006)

Barry's welcome back concert was the most amazing concert I've ever been to! Words cannot express how I felt and I still feel. I'm 14 years old and I'm just getting into Barry's music (I got interested when I saw him on American Idol this past season). And I cannot tell you how hard it is not to run up and down the halls of my high school screaming how much I loved the concert, or at least tell some of my friends, but if I did that I'd probably have everyone laugh in my face... [except] anybody who knows what good music is! Barry made me laugh and made me cry; he gave me chills about six times; it was really the highlight of my life and the only thing that could top it would be to meet Barry himself. Maybe that will happen, who knows!? - Kristen Cladek (Jackson, NJ) (11/1/2006)

Barry was amazing, performing just six weeks after hip surgery. I had second row seats and was with my husband. When Barry came out after intermission and jumped up on the piano I thought he was out of his mind. I was so pumped up, my adrenaline was still pumping after a week. Barry keep up the great work. - Loretta D'Ottavio (Astoria, NY) (11/10/2006)

I think it is great that Barry could perform knowing he was not physically 100% yet. He did a spectacular job. He is absolutely amazing and I will be a fan forever. - Mary (of New Jersey) (11/29/2006)

This was my first concert ever. I have loved Barry's music since I was 17 (I am now 46). I lost touch with his music after marriage and children but soon rediscovered it when Music & Passion was on Maryland Public Television. I am so glad I found it again. After that I decided I was going to a concert and bought tickets as soon as I heard he was coming to Atlantic City. My first concert ever. The seats weren't great but Barry sure was. I love hearing him sing and seeing him do all his sexy moves. He inspired me to start taking piano lessons, something I have wanted to do since I was in middle school. Take care of yourself Barry, and think about coming to Maryland sometime! - Wendy Mumma (Clearspring, MD) (1/17/2007)

My husband got me a concert ticket for my birthday. It was great to hear Barry again in person and to make sure he was okay since his surgery. It was pretty cute when he came out in a wheelchair singing "It's A Miracle." It's always great hearing and watching him perform. I thought he looked better than in May (Las Vegas Hilton); he looked refreshed. Maybe he needed some rest and TLC... I know about that, I'm a nurse! Barry, Barry, Barry - Thanks for the music for all the years. - V. Swiger (Wellsburg, WV) (2/23/2007)

Barry played music from my mom's era! This was the first Manilow show she ever attended. He sang "Moonlight Serenade." It made her cry! That's how happy Barry made her!! Probably the BEST evening of my life (besides the birth of my son!). Thank you, Barry! - Maureen Hashtani (Bayonne, NJ) (2/23/2007)

I was dragged to my first Barry concert by my best friend, Leanna. I always liked his music but was never really into it like her. I had no idea what I was missing! Let me tell you, I have been hooked ever since. What an incredibly beautiful voice (I don't think you can fully appreciate it until you hear him sing live). When he sang "One Voice", it made my hair stand on end. He just wins you over with that amazing voice and his pretty smile. We are going to Vegas in October and we can barely wait! Four nights of Music and Passion! - Julie (of Maryland) (5/15/2007)

This was [what I called affectionately] Barry's "Welcome Back to Work" concert (following his hip surgery). I was so happy and excited and thankful that I could be at this incredible show. I was there with my amazing Barrysista Geri. We both had a great time at Barry's show. One of the most exciting moments was when Barry made his Grande Entrance by sitting in a wheelchair being pushed on-stage by his amazing back-up singers Kye, Melanie, Keely and Monica, all dressed up as nurses for Barry. I had written to Barry many times suggesting he use a wheelchair when he makes his stage entrance at this show... and he DID IT! I loved this entire show and the whole crowd at the AC Boardwalk Hall all loved Barry and his GREAT music. Please come back and do more shows for us here in the Northeast! Can't wait to see you again, hopefully Somewhere Down The Road. - Lisa Whitney (Keene, NH) (6/18/2007)

First/Favorite Show: [What I liked about this show was] EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!! I LOVEEEEEEEEEE BARRY! - Gail Burstein (Absecon, NJ) (7/12/2007)

On Saturday, October 14, 2006 we saw Barry at Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, NJ. Yes, it was a lengthy drive to get there, but well worth it! That was his first show since he had hip surgery. He came out on stage in a wheelchair, accompanied by his back-up group dressed as medical staff. How he kept going and going was a marvel to anyone who was in attendance. I thought that was the best show I'd seen to date. Fantastic would be an understatement! - Pat Darnall (Greensboro, NC) (3/28/2008)

First Show - Carolyn Farren (of Pennsylvania) (4/19/2008)

I was ALMOST in the rear of the concert hall, but still heard EVERY sound of Barry's beautiful voice! "Could It Be Magic" was just that... MAGIC!! - Rozanne T. Petrycki (Brentwood, Long Island, NY) (4/21/2009)

First Show - Dorothy Costabile (Croydon, PA) (8/27/2009)

Our first Barry Manilow Concert EVER! My sister and I lost our mom the year before. We were down in the dumps as people are and I read in Barry's newsletters that he was going to appear in NJ. Kiddingly I said, "Hey, wouldn't it be great if we went to see him?" and my sister said "Yeah, but you know it's so hard to get tickets." Well to make a very long story short she got tickets. We went to NJ the day before to save time. We took the wrong train, but we got there okay. It was great to be there. We took a stroll down to the hall, just to look and take pictures before it got crazy. Then the day came... What a blast we had being in the same venue that BARRY MANILOW was in. It was mindblowing! We screamed and shouted and sang and swayed to the music. We were having such a good time and [soon] it was over. We wanted more, more, more! He was absolutely fantastic. Barry, you are the GREATEST!! Love you always, Rosalie Pilone (Baltimore, MD) (10/30/2009)

First Show - Jo Ann Van Der Wall (of New Jersey) (8/16/2010)

This show was about six weeks after Barry had hip surgery. The show was fantastic as always but what I remember most is how I got to this show in the first place. I already had my ticket. It was planned that my son, his friend, and I would go to Atlantic City. They would go to the casinos while I was at the show. Two weeks before we were to go, my son totaled his car (he was fine). But I had to find another way to get there since I don't drive (long story!). I tried bus stations and the train station but their schedules didn't fit the time frame, so I reached out on the BarryNet. I was put in contact with someone. I had found out that she lived 20 minutes away from where I lived and that she had at one time lived on the same street that I live on now. I went to Barry's show with her and some of her friends. The next day I called my daughter and told her about the show, how I was able to get there and how everything just came together so easily. That's when she said to me "Mom, you were supposed to go." I said "Yes, I know that." My daughter then said "You're not getting what I'm saying. Grandpa knew what a big fan you are of Barry Manilow. What was the date that Grandpa died?" I said "October 14, 1996," and then it hit me. I got goose bumbs and emotional. My daughter then went on to say, "Yesterday was the tenth anniversary of Grandpa's death to the day. Mom, you were supposed to go. This was a gift to you from Grandpa." I am now a believer that even when we pass on, we can still influence the physical world. I witnessed it. Thank you, dad! I love you! - Carla Snyder (Lancaster, Pennsylvania) (10/20/2011)

I'll be a fan of Barry's forever! Last night's concert at Allstate Arena has to be number 1 - every time I attend one of Barry's concerts, it just gets better and better. Always entertaining, always something new. The music, the passion, the costumes, the lighting, the memories - absolutely awesome! You can't spend one cent for entertainment anywhere else and get what you do from this man! Nothing will stop him! Thank you for all the years of wonderful memories Barry. - Deb McCormick (Grayslake, IL) (10/22/2006)

Wonderful, wonderful - All I can say is "Barry you are HOT, HOT & more HOT!!" - Ann Coggeshall (Chicago, IL) (10/23/2006)

I was SO excited when I found out Barry would be in Chicago on October 21 (Chicago is only a 2 hour drive from where we live). What an incredible, awesome, and fantastic concert! It has been about seven years since I last saw him in concert and it was like being reunited with an old friend. He looks great and has never sounded better! I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, his new CD! - Renee Kaufman (South Bend, IN) (10/23/2006)

The concert Saturday night was so full of energy from the crowd as well as Barry and the whole crew. The whole place was having a wonderful time. The music selections were great and drew the audience in, and Barry's voice was very strong and emotional. After intermission, I took a look around when all of the glowlights were lit. It was an amazing sight. I am happy that Barry is once again getting the recognition he deserves and also glad that I have been a fan from the beginning! Thank you all for such a wonderful performance!! - Mary Ann (of Merrillville, IN) (10/24/2006)

This show was great! Barry looked and sounded great! Met a ton of wonderful new Fanilow friends! Bought about $100 worth of souvenirs. It was a beautifully plotted show. Plenty of wonderful music, great lighting, passionate moments, and beautiful staging. It was the all time best show that I have ever attended for any artist! This night will never leave my memory. It was the best time of my life! Love you Barry! - Nate Mayfield (Owensboro, KY) (7/6/2007)

Favorite Show: I've seen Barry perform 9 times. With each performance, Barry gets better and better! I sure hope Barry returns to see us in Chicago real soon. - Leah Forcell (Chicago, IL) (9/11/2007)

I have been a fan of Barry's since he came out with "Mandy." I have tried to see him in concert all those years but just didn't have the money or a way to go until this concert. I probably still wouldn't have gotten to see him if it wasn't for my son buying tickets for me as an early Christmas present (he grew up listening to me play Barry's music). I loved every bit of the concert, however, the song "Unchained Melody" with videos of military families in the background touched me the most. Now my youngest daughter who is 8 years old wishes Barry would come play at her school and my 13 year old daughter who plays the flute in band at school has asked her teacher to teach the band one of Barry's songs! - Debra Hall (Wilmington, IL) (5/21/2009)

I was so lucky to have the Platinum Package to see Barry at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL. Unbelievably, this was the first live concert I ever attended, and I'm in my 50's! This show was so special! I had front row seats, a banner that said "KIKI WANTS TO GET YOU, BARRY, ON A SLOW BOAT TO CHINA," and the chance to meet him after the show. Unfortunately, during intermission, I went out in the lobby to get souvenirs and was never told when the concert was starting again. I went back to the concert and Barry had already picked someone to sing with him. Lucky girl! What a super nice person you are, Barry! You don't have the ego like most stars do. What's so funny, and I have met several celebrities, is that [during the Platinum Experience] when my name was called and I was asked if I am ready to meet Barry Manilow, I said to myself, Sure! When I went in the back room where Barry was and turned the corner, there he was standing in his beautiful electric blue shirt and I went "OH...MY...GOD!" I had never done that when I've met a celebrity before. But as soon as we started talking, it was like I was talking to the boy next door. Barry, thank you so much for a wonderful experience. I will always treasure it. Besides meeting you, the concert was so wonderful! God bless you and hope to see you in concert in the near future. Hugs and Kisses. - Kiki Gulan (Port Washington, WI) (5/7/2010)

First Show - Danny Rizzo (Chicago, Illinois) (7/14/2011)

November 10: Barry made my dream come true by choosing me to DANCE with him. I honestly didn't know that this was part of the show until about an hour before. Even then I wasn't expecting it to happen. My husband had a feeling from the beginning though. When Barry first came out onto the stage, I was so excitred at how CLOSE I was to him (stage seating). I was hoping that maybe I'd get to shake his hand. But when he was singing "Moonlight Serenade" and walking towards me I was floating and I kept saying "Sing to me Barry, sing to me!", then ...he opened the gate!! I have enjoyed every Barry concert I've been to. He is always so personable with the audience and forever so appreciative. But if he doesn't know it by now WE are the ones that appreciate his music and how much he has touched our lives. Barry, thank you for making me feel like a princess that night. Love, your devoted fan, Donna Ruberti (Williamstown, NJ) (12/27/2006)

First Show (November 10): Barry Manilow is the best! The concert was the greatest. You would have never known he had hip surgery. He was wonderful as always. When you see his shows you forget all your troubles and go to a different place and fullfillment in your life. I know I did. I got the chance to meet Barry backstage after the show and had my picture taken with him and I felt the warmth and caring that comes from him. I was so honored to be next to a wonderful person and showman. Every concert I attend is new, and more and more wonderful. I look forward to seeing Barry and his shows again and again. Each show is unique and special. Thanks and Love Always, Karen Shegogue (Jacksonville, FL) (2/11/2007)

November 17/18: This is the first concert I saw after Barry's hip surgery. It was great to see him again feeling wonderful. The show is great; the 60's part of the show is priceless and funny! Barry is back in wonderful form and the energy abounds. Singing, dancing and band was great as usual. Barry was smiling, happy and looking great! I'll be back again in April. - Linda Foster (Centreville, VA) (11/29/2006)

November 18: It was the night Barry chose me to dance with to the beautiful "Moonlight Serenade"! I have waited decades for a moment like that. It was so wonderful and Barry was so gracious. He commented on "what a nice couple we made," and that "we both were dressed so beautifully." He was wearing a white jacket and I was wearing a white suit. I was also wearing a red rose on my lapel which I wear to every show in honor of "Paradise Cafe", my favorite album. I had my dearest friends cheering me on that night in hopes Barry would choose me. I didn't think it would happen and I resigned myself to the fact that it probably wouldn't, but it did. I couldn't have been happier and my friends were so thrilled for me. I also especially enjoyed the 40's segment. I was brought up with that music. Big bands, jazz and blues were always playing in my house and my 88 year old father still listens to it and likes Barry's "Singing With the Big Bands". Barry has brought so many people together and the friendships made are long-lasting. Barry is truly unique and genuine, there has never been and never will be another performer like Barry Manilow. He never ceases to amaze me. Thank you Barry! - Judy Correggio (Boston, MA) (12/27/2006)

November 17: Since this was the second time I attended a Barry Manilow concert, the shock of having him in front of me was expected to be less than the first time, but I was wrong. I just couldn't believe my eyes and ears, BARRY MANILOW was less than 5 feet away from me! Barry just keeps getting better. No wonder he has legions of Fanilows, and I'm proud to say I'm one of them. - Diego Velasco Fuhrken (Mexico City, Mexico) (5/25/2007)

November 18: Barry had just recovered from the hip surgery. I had to see for myself, "if" he was okay. Yes he was! The show was the Best!! Thank you, Barry, and to your crew, and Kye too. November 18, 2006... a very special night! - Dee Dee Yardley (Boise, ID) (4/16/2009)

December 15-16: I love the noise and the lights and the glitter before Barry makes his appearance. But most of all, I just love Barry's music. When he sings it goes right into your soul and you don't forget the moment. All the moments with Barry are special. Thank you Barry, we all love you. - Sandy (of Arizona) (12/28/2006)

December 16: I was the lucky lady on that night who was asked to dance "Moonlight Serenade" with Mr. Manilow. Then after that wonderful dance, his coat button got caught on my gold fringe jacket. It wasn't planned but I am glad it happened! - Suelynn Murray (Dallas, TX) (1/4/2007)

December 15 (and 16): This concert in Las Vegas, NV, marked a milestone for me. This concert marked the 30th anniversary of my very first Barry Manilow concert (which happened in Fresno, CA, December 1976). Friday and Saturday night's concerts were also special. Both concerts I had side seats and each night I was able to shake hands with Barry. That was the highlight for me and the best Christmas present I had ever given myself. Thank You, Barry, for everything you have given -- to your fans and friends. - Evie Rowell (Selma, CA) (5/23/2007)

December 15: I had a Platinum ticket and had waited for 10 months before I went to see him. It was very special for me. I have been a fan for over 20 years. I have always loved Barry's music and have been to a lot of his concerts and some of the Conventions too. I love them all! But I will remember this concert [the most]: It was my 41st birthday that same week (December 10th); my husband was born on the same day; we had come over from England and it was our 19th wedding anniversary. So it was a very special time for The Two Of Us, and to top it off, I went in to meet Barry Manilow. He made me feel so good that night and the concert was so good too! Thank you, Barry, for making my 41st birthday and my anniversary so [special]. - Elizabeth Anne Fisher (of England) (5/9/2009)

First/Favorite Show (December 28): In 1975, I bought my first Barry Manilow album. [After] many, many years, I practically forgot about the big artist. One day I saw his first DVD launched in Brazil. After that, I bought almost all! And in December 2006, I caught a plane especially to see Manilow Live at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas. I loved it, and I'll return! - Eliane Furtado (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) (5/18/2007)
