A GIFT OF LOVE IV
December 12: A Gift of Love IV Benefit Concerts began tonight in Palm Springs and like those prior, was a knock-out over the top joyous occasion complete with snow and streamers. Barry generously donates his time for 5 nights benefitting 25 charities in the local area and does so with such enthusiasm, even the audience is exhausted at his finale. For a small space in time, there is no outside world of stress and strife but a theater full of love and hope and joy... and Barry gives that to us! IT never gets old. HE never gets old. And we leave with a warm glow of hope and happiness. Bless you, Barry. You are loved by many but most of all, THANKS!! - Irene Stanek (Palm Springs and Carmel, California) (12/14/2017)Night 2 (December 13) of Barry s Gift of Love IV Benefit Concerts (5 total) and I see some of the same faces and wonder how can we laugh at the same jokes and cry over the same songs and sincerely feel like it's the first time we have heard them. But the first or the hundred and first, Barry's unique gift (apart from his amazing voice) is making us FEEL... and feel we sure did. The spirit of Christmas is alive and well thanks to Barry and the children's choir that join him at the end... Would melt even Scrooge's heart! Truly is heartfelt from Barry and appreciated by all. Damn, Barry, you surely have still got it and we never tire of it. Thanks for another amazing night. One big hug coming your way. - Irene Stanek (Palm Springs and Carmel, California) (12/14/2017) December 16: People were so stunned by Barry and the show! Just when we think he can't get better, HE DOES! The line of the night was when Barry -- after gut-wrencing ballads and dancing wildly to Christmas music -- he turned to the audience and said "And what is YOUR 74-year-old grandfather doing tonight!? The roar was immediate with thunderous applause, fist pumping and senior of all seniors getting out of their wheelchairs to join in. 74 is the new 50! The series is so aptly named "A Gift Of Love" becuase it's so obvious that Barry LOVES doing these shows. He gives so much joy... we can all be envious he has so much to offer. There are no words to thank him adequately. We thank him, the charities thank him, and we love him. What more is there to say? - Irene Stanek (Palm Springs and Carmel, California) (12/17/2017) December 13: OH MY! I bought a VIP ticket, sat three rows from the stage and had my picture taken with Barry after the show. My bucket list is complete, until the next charity show in Palm Desert and I WILL see you, Barry, again. Sorry to break this to you but that framed picture of us is going in my casket!
