In Chicago, nominations were released for The Seventh Annual Black Theatre Alliance/Ira Aldridge Awards. "Could It Be Magic? The Barry Manilow Songbook" received 6 nominations. Congratulations to the following nominees.... Ron Walters for Best Musical Direction Paul Tazewell for Best Costume Design Kye Brackett for The Katherine Dunham Award for Best Choreography Kye Brackett for The Sammy Davis, Jr. Award for Best Featured Actor In A Play E. Faye Butler and Debra Byrd for The Ruby Dee Award for Best Leading Actress In A Play We would also like to send an official "ManiHi" to all of the UK fans who are gathering this weekend for the official BMIFC-UK convention that Lynn Stephens has organized. You fan club members sure do like to party!!
