A Note from Barry

Hi Everyone,
We’re heading to Britain for our final tour there. Thanks to everyone who attended the Denver shows and the final Midnight with Manilow event. The Denver shows were the last shows of the American tours and it was everything I could have wished for. The audiences on this last tour of 73 concerts were all incredible, but Denver was hot from start to finish. A perfect way to end my American touring days. And Midnight With Manilow was lots of fun. Very casual. I felt I wasn’t really doing a "show." Just being at a party with some great friends. I loved including old friends like Debra and Dana. Everyone on the stage had some great and funny stories to tell. For me, it was a very emotional night. Singing the lyric "How can I thank you for the love you’ve given me," looking out on friends who had been supporting me for over 40 years without breaking down and blubbering was a real feat of strength. Because it’s exactly how I feel. How I’ve always felt. I don’t think that anyone in entertainment has ever had fans and friends like you. I’m sure we’ll see each other again. We’re already thinking about what we should do to promote the "New York" album. But it’s the end of going from city to city and I’m probably saying goodbye to many people who have been with me for years. So once again, "How can I thank you for the love you’ve given me." There’s nobody like you. I couldn’t be more grateful.
All my love, |
