Hi Everyone! Today is Release Day! "Night Songs" gets released today. I can’t tell you how stunned and happy I am that so many people who have heard the album are enjoying it. The album is so different from any album I’ve ever made. No orchestra, no back beats, no big endings. Just beautifully crafted songs played and sung simply so the listener can really understand them. I must admit that I didn’t intend this album to ever be commercially released. It was a labor of love that was meant to stay "in the drawer". But whenever I’d play it for friends, they’d ask for a copy and then tell me that they couldn’t stop playing it. My manager, Garry was its biggest fan. He encouraged me to let him release it to the public. So once again, thanks Gar for believing in my work. I so appreciate your beautiful posts on Face Book and elsewhere. And while I’m at it, thanks to so many of you for your incredibly positive reaction to our show "Harmony". What a ride it’s been. As I said at the end of "Sweet Life" – "Nobody knows what you want except you and nobody will be sorrier than you if you don’t get it. So don’t give up your dreams". That could very well be the motto of our journey with "Harmony". Thanks again for everything. Barry |
