A Special Note and Memory from Barry regarding his friend, Dick Clark:
This is a sad day. He was a dear friend, supporting me and my music for all of my years in the business. A great businessman and a true gentleman. An inspiration. My heart is so heavy now. The photo is from the 2006 Emmy Award show when I won for Outstanding Performance in a Variety or Music Special. They gave Dick a Lifetime Achievement Award. I had just finished performing Bandstand Boogie and was helping Dick into the wings. He was crying and in my arms when they announced my win. I didn't hear them announce it and someone had to push me out on stage.
