I’ll never forget watching the horror of 9/11 happen on TV. Like millions of others I watched it with my hands over my face, peeking out through my fingers.
It didn’t seem real. Like a movie or something. I called my friend in New York who was standing on his rooftop watching the World Trade Center collapse. He said, through his tears, “The world will never be the same.” And he was right. But watching the New Yorkers come together was so beautiful. It made me so proud to be a New Yorker. But most of all it made me proud to be an American. Barry
