My cousin and I waited and were second in line for tickets. I don't remember when they went on sale but I remember it was cold! We got some great seats. It was The Greatest Hits and then some. My all time favorite concert, probably for a lot of reasons: My daughters first time to see Barry, great family and friend memories. When Barry and Billy Kidd did the dance version of "Could It Be Magic" and jumped off the second level of the stage, it was a Moment to Remember. The "dance moves" still make me smile! We sure did warm up those COLD January nights in Wilkes Barre, PA. It's time for you to come back, Barry! Thanks for all the Memories! - Carol Brocious (of Pennsylvania) (1/14/2011) Highlights (January 14, Act I): Ready To Take A Chance Again (edit) / Daybreak / Somewhere In The Night / Can't Smile Without You / All The Time / Memory / Brooklyn Blues / New York City Rhythm / Avenue C / Jumpin' At The Woodside / Bandstand Boogie / Weekend In New England / I Made It Through The Rain [ Manilow TV Episode #89 Part I aired May 2017 ] |

I have seen him at least 100 times in concert all over the U.S. and have met him in person at least five. I "get" what he is trying to do with his music. I am moved to tears during his concerts. I literally get goosebumps and chills. He is such a wonderful man and entertainer. He should be very proud of what he has accomplished. Besides, he gets more handsome and sexy as time goes on. I hope he does this for years and years. I once asked him to marry him and he said sure! - Kelly "Can't Smile girl" Klucker (Belleville, IL) (11/19/99) |
April 19 |
Iowa/Cedar Rapids (5 Seasons Center) |
I heard my new favorite song, "Let Me Be Your Wings". Barry's the greatest! - Joyce Brommel (Truro, IA) (5/11/99) First Show: Growing up as a poor kid -- and then the very lean college years that followed -- I finally got to see my first Barry Manilow concert once I was out of school and had my first job. It was a big treat, and worth all those years of waiting and wishing. I will never forget my first Barry Manilow concert. - Debora (of Des Moines, IA) (9/28/99) Although Barry Manilow is unaware, I have shared my life with his music. I changed from a young girl to a woman listening to his music. In 1994, I was fortunate to go to his concert. He transformed me to a simpler time in my life where everything is possible. When he brought local kids in to sing with him the effect was... WOW! I've been successful in my life - I don't know if my life would have been the same if I could not have returned home from a particularly difficult day to pound out his music on my piano. I really don't think he has any idea of just what he means to so many of us! - Kim Durgin (Ely, Iowa) (12/21/2012) |

I sang in the Oklahoma City University Singers. We were chosen to sing back up with Barry! Thought I would know only a few Barry songs. Turned out I knew them all! My mom listened to Barry when I was growing up. Now I own the box set. - Brendan C. Buchanan (Glenwood, IA) (7/19/2002) |

First/Favorite Show: Barry's performance was just spectacular. My favorite song was the duet from the movie "Thumbelina". I was just in awe, and this was the first time I had heard the song. He was introducing it. Come back to Arkansas, Barry! - Angela Helms (Arkadelphia, AR) (4/11/99) |
April 26 |
Tennessee/Knoxville (Civic Auditorium) |
Favorite Show - Jana O. (of Tennessee) (10/17/2001) Favorite Show: I have been a fan of Barry's ever since I can remember. I have all of his albums/cassettes/CD's. He truly is talented, and I always had hoped one day to meet him in person, but that will probably never happen! Ha! I think the song I like most of all is "This One's For You." Also, "I Made It Through the Rain" during [tragic] times has touched me. - Terry Stewart (Maryville, TN) (2/22/2002) |

North Carolina/Greensboro (Coliseum) |
It was great to see Barry in my hometown, and it was only my second show. My father got up early to get good seats and we sat in the second row dead center. I had never been so close to such a powerful performer and it was great to get to interact so closely with the power of the music. It is a memory I treasure. - Josh Chambless (Greensboro, NC) (10/5/98) I showed up to purchase tickets early one morning and got great seats. At that time I didn't know anything about Barry Manilow International Fan Club. I saw a separate window for fan club members where they could buy tickets. I then decided as soon as I got home, I'd find out what I could about BMIFC. The concert was held on April 27, 1994 at the Special Events Center of the Coliseum. Another fantastic performance! - Pat Darnall (Greensboro, NC) (3/28/2008) I have been a die-hard Barry fan since my teen years. My first kiss was with Barry's song in the background, "Somewhere in the Night" [around] 1980. Since then my life took many turns and his songs always meant something to me at the right time. I lived in New York City and unknowlingly lived in the same building where he began with Bette Midler (The Ansonia). I moved to North Carolina in '91 and Barry was playing at the Arena in 1994. It was my first musical reunion with him after having had a tragedy in my life. His music brought me to tears, and emotionally healed me. - Sara Wertman (Greensboro, North Carolina; originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina) (3/19/2011) |
April 28 |
South Carolina/North Charleston (Coliseum) |
Favorite Show: I camped out all night to be the first one in line for a ticket. It paid off! Front row, exactly center! What a thrill. I got to actually shake hands. I'll never forget that evening. - Debbie Holcombe (Charleston, SC) (11/7/99) First Show: I just love the way Barry captivates his audience. He is great! At [this] concert, I was sitting beside a girl whose name was Mandy. She went crazy! - Marty McDowell (Spencer, NC) (5/30/2000, 8/3/2000) |
April 30 |
Michigan/Lansing (Michigan State University, Breslin Center) |
Favorite Show: I had just gotten out of the hospital, after being diagnosed with Crohn's disease three weeks before the concert. The concert was spectacular, and it was especially memorable because of his acknowledgment of the BMIFC and local fan clubs. It is very rare for Barry to acknowledge fan clubs, and this was very special! - Laurie Wheeler (3/98) First Show: I had joined Manilow's Michigan Medley. We actually got to decorate the dressing room there at the Breslin Center. We got there at around noon the day of the concert. We could leave something there in the dressing room so Barry could sign it. I chose a great picture with a white background so I would be able to see Barry's signature. That picture still hangs on my wall right next to my computer. Anyway, I got front row seats because we had waited all night from the day before the tickets went on sale in freezing weather. It was cold out in January. I felt so privileged to be sitting in the front row at my first concert with Barry. What a feeling! I felt like I was in Heaven and I didn't want it to end. At the end of the concert, Barry sang "It's a Miracle", and at the end of the song he reached out to the people in the front row and he grabbed my hand. I couldn't believe that I was holding Barry's hand. I didn't want to let go. Unfortunately I did not get a picture of it because I had used up all of the film in the camera. It was a night I will cherish forever! - Dorothy Cook (Grand Rapids, Michigan) (1/12/2015) |
May 2 |
Canada/Toronto (Pantages Theatre) |
May 3: I got to see Barry for the first time in concert on my birthday. My husband bought the tickets. It was the biggest thrill of my life! I have never been so moved as much as I was by Barry's music that night. I was a fan for years, but seeing him in person was the best birthday present I ever received! - Evelyn Kay (Waterloo, Ontario, Canada) (2/19/2002) May 3: It was the day before my birthday and I found out by accident that Barry was in town. I was in the balcony but I didn't care 'cause all I wanted to hear was the music, and he delivered as usual. I wish he had come to Toronto more often! - Heather Johnston (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) (7/4/2006) Highlights (May 2 - Act II): Copacabana (At The Copa) / Looks Like We Made It / Let Me Be Your Wings (with Debra Byrd) / Deja Vu / I'll Never Love This Way Again / Some Kind Of Friend / Beautiful Music / Soon / Could It Be Magic (prelude + uptempo versions) / Mandy [ Manilow TV Episode #89 Part II aired May 2017 ] |

This was the first Barry concert I ever went to and I had a blast. I have been a big fan since I was about seven years old. - Candella Shaffer (Dushore, PA) (12/8/99) First/Favorite Show: I loved when he did "Can't Smile Without You"! Especially when he picked someone from the audience to come up and sing with him. - Julie Bill (Endicott, NY) (1/2/2000) |
May 6 |
Pennsylvania/Erie (Civic Center) |
First/Favorite Show: I have attended several of the Copacabana King's concerts and yet not enough. This concert was my favorite for many reasons - one of them being the spectacular Copacabana surprise after intermission. After watching several video snips of Copa TV spots and such it appeared that Barry came out on the stage in complete Copa costume (including the huge ruffled sleeves that only Barry can make sexy) but low and behold it was a diversion to get Barry on the stage elsewhere. It was fabulous!! I can't wait to see what Barry does this year! - Tara Sample (Erie, PA) (3/31/99) What I'll remember most was the enjoyment my daughter-to-be was having while attending with me in-utero. - Peggy (of
Pennsylvania) (11/15/2001) |

First Show (May 19) - Karen Goodall (of Australia) (9/13/98) First/Favorite Show (May 17): Barry is the most passionate performer I have ever seen, and this concert will live forever in my memory... the unity and companionship between fans is unbelievable... I am still in contact with those I met at the concert. I had been a fan of Barry's for a few years, and finally seeing him in concert was an experience of a lifetime. I am eagerly awaiting his next trip to Australia! - Amanda Westerway (Canberra, Australia) (12/31/99) May 20: I took my parents to see Barry. I'd driven them mad for years playing his music EVERY morning before school. Finally, years later when they saw him live, they were completely astounded. A fond memory is of my 55-year-old dad standing on a chair yelling for more!! They loved it so much we all jumped on a plane and flew to Brisbane to catch one of his next concerts. I guess the biggest influence Barry has had on my life is that I've followed my own dream into music and am now performing myself and doing what I love. I owe you everything, Barry! You taught me to sing and express my love for music... it's all YOUR fault!! Thanks - With Love, Linda McCarthy (Adelaide, Australia) (7/4/2000) May 17: Took mum and an older female friend. Barry sounded so awesome, I can't believe it's been almost 10 years since that concert. Hubby drove us to the concert and sat outside waiting (Barry's not really his cup of tea), but even he said that when the doors opened for people to go in and out that Barry sounded fantastic. Time for a return visit, Mr. Manilow! - Trisha McCleary (Sydney, Australia) (1/24/2004) First Show: I love the fact that Barry actually came back to Australia in 1994 after a long time. Having been a fan since I was 11 -- I am now 40 -- it was incredible to just be able to see and hear Barry sing. Always from the heart, he has touched my soul, and always will. - Tracey (of Craigmore, South Australia) (7/11/2010) |

[What I liked about this concert was] The showmanship, the voice, the man, and the fact that my daughter who came with me as a 22-year-old thoroughly enjoyed the show as well. I hope Barry comes to Aussieland again soon. I have been a fan for about 30 years. - Molly (of Australia) (7/28/2000) |

Wisconsin/Milwaukee (Milwaukee State Fair) |
This was my first Barry concert. I absolutely loved it. I am 25 years old now and have been a fan ever since I heard "I Made It Through The Rain". When I was younger I worried that I would never be able to see him in concert, and so the first time I went was great. I have been to five concerts total and if it were within my means I would go to every one of them and never get tired of it. I look forward to future concerts. I love you Barry!! - Heather Marie Schmidt (Manitowoc, WI) (1/6/2000) |

Illinois/ Springfield (Springfield State Fair) |
First Show Memory: The thing that surprised me most about Barry was his huge sense of humor. He laughed about the world's biggest pig and even made fun of himself. - Molly (12/9/96) I went to see him...on the racetrack, packed. I was sitting real close (to the stage)... - L.A. Cole (Heyworth, IL) (9/4/99) Highlights: Ready To Take A Chance Again / Daybreak / Somewhere In The Night / Tryin' To Get The Feeling Again / Can't Smile Without You / Brooklyn Blues / Memory / New York City Rhythm / Avenue C / Jumpin' At The Woodside / Bandstand Boogie / Weekend In New England / I Made It Through The Rain / Copacabana (At The Copa / Looks Like We Made It / Deja Vu/I'll Never Love This Way Again (with Debra Byrd / Some Kind Of Friend / Could It Be Magic (Ballad)/Could It Be Magic (Dance Version) + encore / Mandy/Could It Be Magic (Reprise) / I Write The Songs / It's A Miracle (Reprise) [ Manilow TV Episode #150 aired June 2022 ] |

The audience screamed through Barry's performance, and screamed so much when it was over that Barry actually peaked his head around the curtain, came back on solo, and sang "One Voice" without music or anything. August 18 |
Maryland/Columbia (Merriweather Post Pavilion) |
First Show - Diane Bottorf (1/3/98) I knew I was a true Manilow fan when I had purchased two tickets for the seated area knowing full well that my boyfriend (at the time) would never agree to go. Though I felt like I had the plague at first, with the empty seat beside me, my determination to see the performer I love never made me feel like I was there alone. A truly inspiring, passion-filled performance of which has made me even more convinced there is no other entertainer with as much talent for songwriting, arranging, and beautiful singing as Our Man. - Shelley Geiman (Manchester, Maryland) (7/3/2002) What I like the most is BARRY HIMSELF, his music, and the way he sings. I LOVE his voice! It's like he is talking on on one to a personal friend. Barry puts on a very outstanding show. When he sings, he really gets into his songs and expresses what the words mean. I have cried over the way he gets the meaning of his music across. Really hits the Heart. No one can ever top Barry and his music and songs. I LOVE BARRY! - Sharon Parton (of Maryland) (3/19/2012) |
August 19 |
Pennsylvania/ Pittsburgh (Star Lake Amphitheatre) |
Best Show Memory: It seems that each time I've gone to see Barry, I just love him a little more. When he sang "I Made It Through The Rain", I found myself singing along with him and crying at the same time (Talk about writing the songs that make the young girls cry!). I just hated to see the show end, but the Magic will remain with me forever! - Karen Radecki (10/7/97) First Show - Amy Doutt (Waynesburg, PA) (3/4/99) Favorite Show: Barry's "buns" from the 8th row!!! - Susan Slowikowski (Weirton, WV) (7/16/99) First Show - Jennifer Cole (Hollidaysburg, PA) (8/8/99, 1/21/2002) |

It was the most awesome experience I've ever had! It was three weeks before my wedding, and it was the best wedding present I received! - Jenny Bethel (Cincinnati, OH) (7/16/99) Favorite Show: His Greatest Hits Tour was like going back in time! It was fabulous hearing and seeing all that history on stage. Loved it! - Cherri (of Cincinnati) (10/21/2000) |
August 26 |
New York/Buffalo (Shea's Theatre) |
Show Memory: I had front row seats right by his piano. I could see the sparkle in his eyes! - Deborah VanWey (9/13/97) My girlfriend and I traveled to Erie, PA in May because we didn't think he was coming to Buffalo, NY. The day after Erie he announced Buffalo dates. So we went both nights and had 3rd row seats each night. It was awesome being that close to him! - Peggi A. Chimera (Buffalo, NY) (9/11/98) |

Pennsylvania/ Allentown (Allentown State Fair) |
The crowd really seemed to be into Barry's music that night. The setting for the concert was unique, as you could see the Ferris Wheel and other rides going off to the left of the stage, and the Manilow music just seemed to have magic to it that night. It was a very enjoyable concert and the crowd was really excited. I'll never forget that evening. - Kathy Snavely (Cornwall, PA) (4/21/2000) This was to be my husband's first Barry concert (It certainly wasn't my first!)... But after almost 10 years together, he was finally going to see The Show. Of course, as luck would have it -- his that is -- his back started acting up and just couldn't see sitting in those seats for any length of time. Well, this also happened to be our son's 16th birthday and he said he would go with me instead, so the ticket was not a waste. What a time we had sharing my love for Barry's music and [celebrating] my baby boy's birtday all-in-one! Priceless!! - Rose Fenstermaker (of Pennsylvania) (8/31/2008) |

Best Show (September 9): The day after Barry's Mom passed away...I know the circumstances were sad, but Barry made the show so poignant and meaningful. He touched my heart that night more than any other show I've attended. Barry Manilow IS my therapy! Barry's shows are a time when I can forget my troubles and enjoy the magic only my favorite singer/songwriter/entertainer can create! - Lorrie Dunham (1/18/98) First Show (September 10) - Christy Hughes (Streetsboro, OH) (8/26/98) First Show (September 10) - Adrianne Brown (Akron, OH) (5/8/99) First Show: My first concert was 100% unforgettable! - Laura Scott (Henderson, NV) (2/28/2009, 10/23/2010) I think this is the week Barry lost his mom. He gained considerable respect by the local media and me. Despite his loss, he came back at the end of the week performing the missed show. He came out and sang "I Am Your Child" in the dark... just his voice... no music. It was an amazing memory. On the way home, I was listening to "Copacabana" and was unfortunately, pulled over because I was speeding. I explained to the officer that I was a huge Barry fan, had just left the concert and was just so happy. I apologized and said I'd pay more attention to driving. He said "my wife loves Barry, too." I'll let you go with a warning this time! As always, a great, great memory!! - Maria Basch (Denver, CO) (4/26/2009) Highlights (September 10, 1st act): I Am Your Child / Ready To Take A Chance Again / Daybreak / Somewhere In The Night / Can't Smile Without You / Brooklyn Blues / Memory / Don't Sit Under The Apple Tree / Sentimental Journey / Chattanooga Choo Choo / New York City Rhythm / Avenue C / Jumpin' At The Woodside / Bandstand Boogie / Weekend In New England / I Made It Through The Rain [ Manilow TV Episode #116-A (9/10/1994) aired August 2019 ] |

The thing I loved the most was the upbeat version of "Could It Be Magic". It was one of the most exciting performances I have ever seen at a concert ... I'd love to see him come to Louisville again, soon. You can be sure I'll be there! I truly think Barry is one of the world's best entertainers today. First Show (September 16): I was fortunate enough to win a MANILOW HITS tour jacket in Barry's Big Giveaway. I went on to win a fabulous trip for two to see Barry on New Year's Eve in Las Vegas at the Aladdin Theatre for the Performing Arts (see 12/31/94) - Leandra Waymire (St. Louis, MO) (9/12/99) First Show (September 17): My fiance, Bradley, got me tickets to see Barry. I was so excited. I teased Brad, that Barry was the only man who I would leave him for. We loved that concert, Brad held me as we sang along to every song. I will never forget being in his arms listening to some of the most beautiful songs ever written. We were 20, and thought we had our whole lives and many concerts ahead of us. Brad died in August of 2000 after 12 years at my side. Tomorrow night, 10 years later, I am going alone to see the concert in Houston (11/17/2004). "Even Now" I miss him so much. I don't want to miss "One Last Time". I know Brad will be looking down on me from heaven wishing he could hold me again. - Deanna Pierce (Houston, TX) (11/16/2004) |

Germany/Hamburg (Musikhalle) |
A special event, [this was] the first time in three concerts [I had] a seat in the front row. Barry was so excited [by] the audience, and of course, this location - a 2,000-[person-capacity] lovely concert hall in the style of the Royal Albert Hall in London. Fantastic show, beautiful music, and an unforgettable night. - Norbert Dethloff (Hamburg, Germany) (12/27/2000) What I liked the most about this show was to see Barry back again after a very long time. The only song I missed was "I've Never Been So Low On Love" from the Paradise Caf album. It's a very sad song, but so tremendously beautiful. - Beate Werst (of Germany (10/11/2002) My second chance to see Barry in Hamburg. Great concert and Barry is a superb entertainer. It was a long time ago that I saw Barry Manilow on stage. It was the best concert I´ve ever seen. I love Barry's music. He is the best singer of the world and I hope he comes back to Germany into the Grugahalle. - Tanja Schiffke (Essen, Germany) (8/28/2009) I was with my daughter Tanja in Barry Manilow's concert. I was very pleased that he was here in Germany. The concert was so fantastic and the tempo unbelievable good. I'll never forget this. At the end, Barry said "I will come back." Where are you, Barry? We love your music and we wait just for you. You are the Best! - Christel Bergmann (of Germany) (9/11/2009) |

England/Birmingham (NEC) |
First Show (November 5) - Julie Waine (Newton Le Willows, Merseyside) (1/19/2000) First Show: Barry is a showman playing to the audience with all those curtain calls. Everyone around me was breathless with excitement and anticipation waiting for their god to appear and he did. With his cheeky grin [he] sang his heart out. I was hooked from then on, and I always see him on stage in this country... why does he never pick me, a typical Welsh girl who was born with the talent of the Welsh, [to sing with him]? I can sing! - Paula J. Curtis (Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, UK) (5/29/2000) First Show - Christine Marshall (Preston, England) (5/16/2009) |
