"Could It Be Magic ? - The Barry Manilow Songbook" premieres Sunday, June 17th at Chicago's Mercury Theater in Wrigleyville.

The all-new musical revue featuring an ensemble cast of five and a six piece band is a tribute to the songwriters who have created 30 years of pop songs introduced to the public by Manilow.

"From "Mandy", written by Scott English and Richard Kerr to "Copacabana" written with my two gifted collaborators Bruce Sussman and Jack Feldman to "I Write The Songs" written by Bruce Johnson, this catalog of songs gives me immense pride," Manilow said.

"From 1975 to the present," Manilow added "I have had the privilege of introducing songs that make people laugh, cry and boogie; that make people...feel. I'm honored that those songs will live on in this exciting new production."

Based on an idea by Emmy award winners Ken & Mitzie Welch, "Could It Be Magic ?" was written by the Welches and Manilow. The show is produced by Garry Kief and Rob Kief.

The show is booked into the theater on an open-ended run. There are no plans to tour other cities.
