An Evening of Music and Passion:
Benefit for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

I went to my first concert at 13 years old with my grandma (Sept. 1, 1981)... second one at 17 years old with my best friend... And this last time with my husband (not a Barry guy!) for our 10th Anniversary. Barry brought his Vegas show to Portland for a special benefit for Cystic Fibrosis. What an awesome show! I regret that I didn't bring my camera. My husband even enjoyed the concert! - Marianne E. (Portland, OR) (1/9/2007)

I have wanted to attend a Barry Manilow concert for over 30 years. My son (age 19) gave me the ticket as a gift. The concert was so wonderful and seeing Mr. Manilow perform in person is something I will always cherish as he is truly a wonderful performer. My lifetime dream of seeing him perform has been fulfilled and I feel so very fortunate. Perhaps some day I will be fortunate to see him perform again, but this will always be the concert of a lifetime to me. The concert being a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation made it even more special that I was able to attend as I had a cousin who died at the age of 10 of cystic fibrosis. So my attending was also a way of my remembering my cousin (and giving to a very important cause), which meant a great deal to my aunt. - La Ronna (La Grande, OR) (1/10/2007)

I loved my first Barry concert. I can't stop listening to his music, it's so uplifting. I asked my husband to get me one ticket for Christmas, since he wasn't a fan, and I would go alone, but he bought two tickets and he attended the concert with me. I cried when I opened the gift with the two tickets! The concert was special, much better than I ever expected. My husband sat with me, even when I told him he could watch the college football game in the lobby. Thanks, Barry, for a great benefit concert for such a good cause! - Linda (of Portland, OR) (1/15/2007)

I have loved Barry and his songs for 33 years, since I was 15 in high school! He's my all time favorite singer. This was my first Barry Manilow concert ever. Never thought I'd get to see him live in concert! It was fantastic! The Rose Garden was full of all Fanilows, not just tourists looking for a good show, like perhaps can happen in Vegas. We all unabashedly enjoyed ourselves, no holding back! He was great and really seemed to enjoy himself and the audience. What a humble personality too. It was for a wonderful cause too, raising money for Cystic Fibrosis. His voice is just as good now as it was in high school when I listened to him on the radio! It was stormy weather for days before and stormy, snowy weather for days afterwards. But the 2 days my friend and I drove up and saw Barry, stayed overnight, then drove home to Rogue Valley (5 hours each way), were sunny and clear, thanks to Barry! He brought the sunshine with him. I will never forget that night! - Niquita W. (of Eagle Point, OR) (1/17/2007)

Last concert attended is ALWAYS the best! - Michelle Green (Portland, OR) (2/5/2007)

I just want to let Barry and everyone know that Barry SAVED and GAVE ME MY LIFE BACK! After my husband of 38 years went to heaven 2 years and 4 months ago, my world ended. I had everything to live for, children, 6 beautiful grandchildren, possessions, money, a beautiful home - everything anyone could ask want... but I was ALONE. Thanks to my wonderful co-workers who gave me a ticket to the Portland Concert on Jan 8, 2007, and BARRY, I now can live again. I can't explain it... when I saw Barry singing "I Made It Through The Rain" in person with the "LIGHT FROM ABOVE" (even though I know it was just a spotlight) shining on him, it was as if God told me . "It is okay to go on." The only thing that I can say is what a friend told me, and I know this to be true. "God works in mysterious ways." I can think again, I have energy again, and I can work again. I am alive again. I may never LOVE again, but I can go on now ... I hope to be able to go to Vegas this summer and see Barry again. Someday, somehow, someway, I hope that I will be able to tell him personally what he has done for me. All I can say again is: Barry, Thank You for my life back! - Linda Butler (Vancouver, WA) (2/7/2007)

Although I've been a fan since the beginning, I saw Barry for the first time this year! It was everything I hoped for and more! Barry's voice sounds as good as ever, and he and the crew put on a spectacular show! I enjoyed it so much, I saw him in Las Vegas in February, too!! - Sheryl (of Washington) (4/18/2007)

I am totally blind and have been since birth. I was singing Barry's songs and playing melodies by ear on my toy organ nearly as soon as I began talking! My grandma told me [when I first saw Barry in the '80s] that one day I would be on stage with Barry, singing "Can't Smile Without You". If that ever happened, she said I should say, "This is dedicated to my grandma, who I love very much."I was living in Portland, Oregon in 2007. My mom gave me a single front row ticket to see Barry perform at the Benefit for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. That day, I contacted the executive director of the foundation and shared my 32-year-old dream of meeting Barry Manilow. I asked her if there was any hope of attending the after-show meet and greet cocktail hour. She mentioned she would try to help me attend. I had never attended a concert alone before. The staff at the Rose Garden Arena were so helpful in assisting me to my seat. They guided me to the stage and they allowed me to reach up to touch it. I have never touched a stage that was so high in my life. They told me that my seat was just 30 feet from the stage. The executive director actually came to my seat and shared with me that she really tried hard to help me get in for the after-show cocktail hour, but there was no room at all. She was so kind to me and I'm grateful that she tried so hard to help me fulfill my dream. Then the time came for Barry to sing "Can't Smile Without You." Since I was so close to Barry, I stood up and unfolded my white cane. I figured if he called on me, I was going to be a graceful blind person and use my cane to walk to him. Even though he called on someone else, I loved knowing that I almost had the chance to sing harmony with Barry and make my dedication to my grandma who passed away in 2002. Even though I was at the concert alone, I still danced, I laughed, clapped, screamed, and even cried a little out of joy for just being there with great people in the front row. It was one of the best nights of my life. In my heart, I knew I had The Best Seat In The House. - Mary Ann Topolewski (Clinton Township, Michigan) (8/7/2011)

As many times as I've seen Barry in concert this night was like no other. The venue, the crowd, the cause and Barry blended to make a truly magical night. - Mary Murphy (Detroit, Michigan) (1/10/2012)

An Evening of Music and Passion!

First/Favorite Show (January 17): [What I liked about this concert was] Barry's voice and his performance. - Glen Lundberg (Brooklyn, NY) (1/18/2007)

The Concert was FANTASTIC! Barry was wonderful!! He only gets better and better... The crowd at Madison Square Garden was with him the whole night singing and all, and he seemed to have a good time with the audience. Yes, I think we were a great crowd....Cannot wait to see him again (He was also FANTASTIC at Atlantic City!) - Janet Ernst (Wharton, NJ) (1/26/2007)

January 18: I saw Barry at Madison Square Garden and I just absolutely LOVED it. I cried during "I Write The Songs." I couldnt help it. I miss him and I hope one day to be able to see him live again One More Time. For those of you that have never seen Barry live, you better go because you don't know what you are missing! - Gina (of New York) (4/17/2007)

Favorite Show (January 17): Having missed seeing Barry in September (2006) because of cancelled shows, when January's concert was posted I was ready to get my tickets. Being a huge fan for 33 years I need a Manilow fix every now and then! - Jan Mau (Washingtonville, NY) (4/18/2007)

January 18: This was the closest I've been to Barry in concert! During the intermission, I saw and waved to Ron Pedley who waved back with a smile as if he knew me! Barry was soooo glad to be back in NY!! You could TELL he was having a great time. And a great time was had by all! It was too bad that I had to go back to the Poconos that night. But I had a HUGE smile remembering all the fun Barry and the whole crowd had that night! - Rozanne T. Petrycki (Brentwood, Long Island, NY) (4/21/2009)

The music was GREAT and Barry always puts on a phenomenal show! - Alice Chamberlin (Coram, NY) (6/19/2009)

My first Barry Manilow concert was at Madison Square Garden. It was a Christmas gift from my parents for me and my fiance'. I always wanted to see Barry in concert, and it was the best concert that we ever went to. Barry was SO great and charming. The Garden was electric! Everyone was dancing and singing along. Our favorite song is "Can't Smile Without You" and when he sang it, we felt it was for us. We love that song so much! It was the song we danced our first dance to at our wedding one year ago. - Agnes Abear (Cliffside Park, NJ) (10/10/2010)

Favorite Show: What's not to like?? Barry works like a dog to please his fans. The man is insatiable. I've seen Barry in concert 11 times, and I've never, ever been disappointed. Barry is one of the greatest performers of all time. It's all about his MUSIC... - Lori Bueti (Yonkers, New York) (2/8/2012)

Barry brought me out of a very deep depression and I give him credit for giving me the boot to jump start my life and get it back on track [through] his songs. He brought feeling and passion back into my life. He made me cry, he made me sing, he made me dance and he made me well! The Madison Square Garden concert was a gift from heaven. I went alone and watched Barry. My broken heart started to mend and I give lots of credit to him. He really does do good for the world. Not only does he bring people together, he brings us through moments of tough times and helps to heal our hearts and minds! He helped save my life and for this, I will always love and be loyal to Barry Manilow for the rest of my life!! - Maria Caterinicchio (New York City, New York) (9/25/2012)

January 18: Barry, you saved my life that night!! I was really loving the concert when I thought I had pulled a muscle. I walked down seven flights of stairs, walked two blocks to the garage and drove home to Brooklyn. Two hours later I asked my sister to take me to the hospital. I was having a heart attack and I was told that if I went to sleep I wouldn't have woken up the next morning. The way I look at it, if I didn't go to the concert, who knows what would've happened! So, Barry, you literally saved my life! I just want to say Thank You for giving me my life back. - Karen Brick (Brooklyn, New York) (1/24/2013)

February 15-17: I was very lucky to return to the Hilton to see Barry this weekend, considering the threat of our flight being cancelled due to a nasty ice storm. Several of us in the BMIFC met up before and after the concerts. Thanks to Judy Sheilds, we all met on Saturday for a luncheon. The concerts were AMAZING. The crowds got wilder each night. Barry's performance of "Who's Been Sleeping In My Bed " put the audience in a frenzy. And I loved the Copacabana finale! That weekend was my first time I had floor seating. What a treat!! I'm sure he knew his fans were there to welcome him back! Barry puts his heart and soul into his shows to make his fans happy. I couldn't stay in my seat because I was literally jumping up and down screaming the whole time for all 3 shows! Thank you, Barry, for making that weekend a time I will never forget!! - Donna Ruberti (Williamstown, NJ) (2/24/2007)

February 17: The 16th of February I came to Las Vegas for the first time in my life. For the first time to see my long lost love, Barry Manilow. The 17th of February, I saw him. Stage seat 7. I can only say, for the first time in my life, to be able to see BARRY LIVE up close made a dream come true for me. He was not only standing there singing beautifully, but making me believe in love and that the world could live as one again. Barry is just unbelievably incredible LIVE. No, I didn't get to dance with him, but he took my heart and soul, when he stood there right next to me, singing "Moonlight Serenade." There isn't ANY man on earth who has done that! - Vibeke Nielsen (of Denmark) (3/6/2007)

February 15-17: My favorite Barry performance was Feb 17 at the Las Vegas Hilton. It was a very special night for me. Barry chose me as his dance girl. I was THUNDERSTRUCK! What a wonderful way to end my stay in Vegas. Thanks, Barry!! - Judy Willmore (Stanton, MI) (5/4/2007)

February 14 (Valentine's Day): Barry Manilow had my attention from the moment he walked out on stage! My mouth was hanging open and In think I was hyperventilating throughout the whole show!! He just looked so handsome and riveting. It was like seeing Elvis Presley again for the first time, only much, much closer to the stage! Barry's voice, piano-playing, dancing with the backup singers... EVERYTHING was so VERY EXCITING! I remember Barry's voice the most. Just SO BEAUTIFUL! The concert went by so fast. My cane got caught in the confetti/streamers at the end of the show and I nearly fell down but some really nice Barry fans came to my rescue. I had the time of my life!! - Lillian R. (of Hawaii) (12/2/2010)

February 21: It was a thrilling night for me because I was picked to dance with Barry to the beautiful song he was singing, "Moonlight Serenade"! Prior to standing and getting up to dance with Barry, he sang to me the beautiful last verse of "Moonlight Serenade." It was wonderful to have this musical genius sing to me, someone I have watched sing for over 30 years. But then to dance with me as his fantastic band played on, and have stars literally filling Barry's Theater at that moment, was something I will never forget! I wish him much happiness and continued success in the years to come. He's the best and you have not lived until you've seen "Barry's Music and Passion Show" in Las Vegas. It's a romantic show but one filled with so much high energy -- so much Music and so much Passion! Catch this one if you can! You will be glad you did! - Carolyn Chehardy (New Orleans, LA) (3/4/2007)

February 21: My favourite show and most unforgettable show, Wednesday the 21st of February. I could see all the deep, wonderful emotions in Barry coming out. I saw my favourite song, which I've loved deep in my heart for 30 years up close, "Mandy". And I cried happy tears. THANK YOU, Barry, for giving me YOU. - Vibeke Nielsen (of Denmark) (3/6/2007)

February 23-24: What an exciting weekend! I personally had the opportunity to meet Barry backstage on Friday, February 23rd as part of the Platinum Package. It was such a thrill to finally meet the man and musician I have admired for 30 years. He was so sweet and charming - the time with him passed so quickly. I left the meeting thinking that nothing in my life would ever top this. Was I wrong! I had the opportunity to attend his concert the following night on Saturday 2/24/07. During his 50's segment, I noticed that Barry started walking towards my section. He was smiling at me and staring at me with those gorgeous blue eyes! The spotlight fell on him and suddenly it seemed he was singing only to me. Then he held his hand out towards me... and in one swift movement, he opened the gate, took my hand, walked me to the stage, and held me close. I was dancing with Barry Manilow! On stage! In front of everyone! It was so emotional for me. I realized that this was a once in a lifetime dream come true. I wanted to remember everything so I focused on my time up there with Barry - trying to remember all the details - the beautiful lights, the stars (in the night sky), the screams of "Judy" from the audience, his eyes, his hands, his smile, his hug, and of course - the kiss when it ended. It was so beautiful. When it was over, he took my hand and walked me back to my seat. I was smiling ear to ear by then and knew that this was one of the happiest moments in my life. What a weekend experience! It was a moment that took my breath away, and will remain in my heart for the rest of my life. Thank you Barry! - Judith Domingo-Vicerra (Antioch, CA) (3/9/2007)

March 14: Barry, you looked and sounded great! We had a slight mix-up with our tickets -- we thought we were getting tickets for the 15th, when in fact they were for the 14th -- but all went well. I didn't miss getting to see the show. The highlight for me was when Barry sang "If I Can Dream." That is one of my favorite songs, and Live on Broadway is my favorite album. My roommate Don made this trip possible for me and I want to say thank you to him. He took a lot of pictures for me to remember it by. Most of all... Thank You, Barry! You are so incredibly talented. Don't ever stop making music. I have just about everything you've ever released (just about!). I even have the honor of being born on June 17th, so I was destined to grow up and fall in love with your music at age 12 and becoming one of your biggest fans! - Gloria Marshall (Virginia Beach, VA) (3/19/2007)

March 14: I took my mum, a lifelong Barry fan, to Vegas last week to see Music and Passion. I was not a fan myself but I am now a convert. The voice, the show, the music, the passion. One cannot question the man's showmanship or talent. He opened with "It's A Miracle," performed songs by other artists from the 50's and 60's as well as some old favourites of his own. The Elvis song was a classic and the ending of "Copacabana" and the big platform coming down to the stage and the streamers made for an unforgettable evening. I will have to save up for 3 years to go again but if I had the chance I would go again tomorrow! - Cass (of Cornwall, UK) (3/20/2007)

March 17: My husband and I flew to Las Vegas to celebrate our 20th anniversary. However, he did not want to go to the Barry concert with me, so I went by myself. I had been to Las Vegas the previous two years with me teen daughter for soccer tournaments, and she did not want to go with me either. I decided I didn't want another visit to Las Vegas to go by without seeing Barry. I was not disappointed! The smaller, intimate theater increased my enjoyment of Barry's show more than any of the other times I attended one of his concerts. I especially enjoyed the "duet" with the live Barry singing with the Barry from a show from the 70's. How very clever! Thank you, Barry, for sharing your multifaceted talents with us for all these years. - Katch (of Naperville, IL) (5/1/2007)

March 17: I have been to 8 Barry shows (and will see the 9th this July in Vegas). After all these years no one can beat Barry! His music has gotten me through some very tough times. My teenage daughters like him and they perform his music at their concerts a lot. My girls are in the Texas Girls' Choir, and does Barry have a following there also! I always enjoy his performances and his Vegas Show is awesome. Everytime I go, his show is different and more exciting. I didn't think it was possible but, you know, HE IS THE MAN! Thanks, Barry, for all these years. You are the BEST!! - Linda Fitzjarrell (Fort Worth, TX) (5/29/2007)

March 13: During this show, I was as close as I could get to the front row, but when it came time for the hanging platform to be lowered over the audience (including me!), I could not see Barry. Then just when [I least expected it] Barry leaned over the railing of the platform and looked at me and waved his right arm and yelled "Hi!" Barry made that particular night very special for me!! - Connie L. Collige (Battle Creek, MI) (7/26/2009)

March 15: It has been such an adventure seeing Barry, from my parents taking me when I was seven years through getting picked [at this show to dance with Barry] for "Moonlight Serenade" to Platinum Experiences and bringing my mom to shows ...and now my daughter is asking me when she can go to a Barry show! - Jennifer Hatfield Stedman (Chicago, Illinois) (2/22/2012)

Barry took my hand and held on for a little while. I was standing behind my daughter and something told me to keep my hand up! - Susan (of California) (4/20/2012)

March 23: Having seen Barry nearly 49 times since 1983, I was lucky enough to meet Barry backstage as part of the Platinum package. It was a week before my birthday and a dream come true. He was a true gentlemen, and it was great to chat with him. The photo I have of us together I will treasure forever. The concerts that week were amazing too. Each time I return to Las Vegas they seem to get better, if that's possible! Looking forward to returning some time in the future... well, he has said he will be there forever! - Viv Frost (Oxfordshire, England) (4/16/2007)

March 23-24: This was my 3rd birthday in a row that I celebrated at Music and Passion with Barry. On Friday (March 23), I had a stage seat, left side, right in the middle, so it was more than AMAZING. My great friend, Debbie Giese, whom I met through this very website, totally surprised me and showed up in Vegas for my birthday bash. She lives in Maryland so I would have never imagined it (Love you, Debbie!). At the concert Saturday night (March 24), Barry came over and held out a hand and we danced to "Copacabana" a little bit. He did "Looks Like We Made It." Total heaven! That concert was totally different, so exciting. Every time I go it just gets better and better ... Yes, I am the luckiest girl in the world. I love you Barry, Forever and A Day MORE! - Sandy Devine (El Paso, TX) (4/19/2007)

March 23: Thank you, Barry, for spending a few minutes with me so I might make my dream come true. For months since I attended what was a "magical" show in my life, I've wanted to thank you for giving me "hope." This night was my Platinum Experience and I was able to share my story with you. I will never forget your kindness and the words you said to me will forever be in my heart. Your show tonight will always be a beautiful memory for me. You and your music continue to be a bright ray of sunshine in my life. - Jeanette Wall (of Minnesota) (5/20/2007)

I loved the showmanship, the glitz and the glamour. Some songs I had never heard Barry sing live before, and they are some of my personal favourites. - Gillian Cochrane (Livingston, Scotland) (6/19/2007)

March 21: [This was my favorite show because] I got to dance with Barry! Not only that, but when he was singing "Moonlight Serenade" and started to walk over to the side stage, it was like he looked at me and kept his eyes locked on mine and sang to me before opening the side stage gate and holding his hand out to me [to dance]. What a night! It was definitely my Ultimate Manilow experience!! - Peggy Wilson (Chicago, IL) (6/11/2010)

First Show: I had my childhood in the late Seventies and early Eighties. I have always felt like Barry's music got me through some very tough times growing up. I loved how the concert had that "make me feel good" feeling wrapped up in the entire evening. I was able to carry that feeling around for months afterward. - Joelle (of Wasco, California) (9/4/2012)

April 7: Because I had a front row seat and because the theatre holds only 2000 people, the show felt much more personal and intimate. Barry was at his best and was obviously having a good time himself but made sure we all did too. - Pam Brown (of England) (4/16/2007)

April 6: This is my 3rd year of going to see "Music and Passion." I am so lucky to have such an understanding husband who also admires Barry. The concert was breathtaking. Barry puts so much energy into ALL the songs, both old and new. Both Barry's voice and performance skills have just gotten better and better over the years. He is a professional to his finger tips. NOBODY interprets a song better than Barry. - Angela Middlemas (Durham, England) (4/18/2007)

April 6: I have always loved many types of music but Barry Manilow was always my favorite. Music got me through a lot of very awful times growing up and through my adult years, but in the last few years, because of events in my life I guess I pretty much lost touch with all music. On a desperate attempt to "get away" for the first time in years, I traveled to Vegas just to see Manilow: Music And Passion on April 6, 2007. I have to say that I had forgotten how much music has meant in my life. I had forgotten how much the songs he sang that night meant to me. Hearing them again, seeing Barry live on stage from mid-section row 5, I definitely have found my PASSION for MUSIC again. All those wonderful melodies, lyrics and that AMAZING band, especially the horn section. WOW! I had a wonderful time and now I remember what fun is for me. It is MUSIC and PASSION! Thanks Barry!! - Bonita Lacour (Alexandria, LA) (4/18/2007)

April 3: 4th row, lovely view, great concert! - Maureen and Linda (Dundee, Scotland) (4/19/2007)

April 3: I have loved Barry Manilow since I was a child. My mother told me the first song I learned to sing was "Can't Smile Without You". It was only fitting that I see Barry on my latest trip to Las Vegas. He did not disappoint! I laughed (he's truly a funny guy!), I cried (who couldn't at the split performance of "Mandy"!), and boy did I dance and scream. Even my husband, who is not big on the dancing thing was "boogie'ing" next to me! I tell everyone I would have paid 3 times the amount of the ticket price - it was THAT good of a show! And did I mention, I had sixth row seats right next to the VIP section - so I had a fabulous view of Barry himself - handsome little devil! - Katie Barker (Severn, MD) (5/1/2007)

April 7: I have been a Barry fan since I was 13 years old. I am 40 now. I have always tried to catch one of his concerts when I was in the States but it always happened that he had already been to the city I was about to be, or would be the next week. Finally, this year I managed to squeeze a quick trip to Las Vegas between a trip to Mexico City and Easter. It was a 12-hour trip, waiting for 8 hours in Mexico, then 3 more hours in Phoenix, Arizona, and finally getting to Las Vegas at 11 PM ... When the show started I was screaming and taking pictures, I broke my seat! So they moved me to the 5th row, right under his blue eyes. I do not remember much of the show, but I do remember "Love Is A Many Spendored Thing" and "Can't Take My Eyes Off You." I could not stop taking pictures and reaching for my binoculars, but I did stop [for] "This One's for You." I felt happy... and that feeling remains with me every day. The next morning I went back to Mexico City for a business meeting and returned to Brazil the next Friday. That's when I cried of pure joy, I made it! Barry, thank you for everything you have given over the years, for making me a better and happier person. You are everything I ever imagined!! - Simone Trewikowski (of Brazil) (5/30/2007)

April 4: I was fortunate enough to have a front row seat and Barry took my hand in his. It was extra special as it was my 60th birthday. What a fabulous present! I was completely blown away. Had to go back the next day to SEE THE SHOW AGAIN. Can still remember how his hand felt in mine. Wonderful! - Irene Martin (Brighton, Sussex, UK) (5/30/2010)

April 19: This was my fifth Music & Passion show and the first time sitting stage left. I loved being that close to Barry, the backup singers and the band. It was a great performance and Barry looked amazing. There was good energy in the air and lots of fans in attendance. I brought a friend who had not seen the show before and she loved it, so another Fanilow is born.

April 21: This was my sixth Music & Passion show and I sat stage left middle. Another great show and I would say my best experience to date since I got to hold Barry's hand and gaze into those blue eyes for a few seconds. The crowd was enthusiastic to say the least and we got the show of our lives. I loved the leather pants (what a nice surprise!) and the song choices - all the ones I had hoped for. Wow, what a night!! - Linda Foster (Centreville, VA) (4/25/2007)

April 18th was the most special concert for me. All of Barry's shows are phenomenal but this one had special meaning to me because He entered the stage through the smoke singing "I'm Comin' Back" wearing his black leather pants from the 80's. What a sight he was! The man was absolutely gorgeous. If I had to pick my favorite show, this would be it. Thank you, Barry. You are a gem. I am so proud to be a fan of yours!! - Mary Flick (of New Jersey) (4/26/2007, 3/28/2008)

April 21: We have enjoyed all of Barry's concerts, and have now been several times to Vegas. The 21 April show was just like the old shows and he even got someone up to do "Can't Smile Without You" from the UK. This is a special song for us as it was our dear friend Maureen's favourite and the 21 April would have been her birthday. The whole show was just Magic. Thanks, Barry! - Janet Brabbs (York, England) (4/29/2007)

April 21: Barry's concerts that weekend were something special and different. More energy than you could contain and... those leather pants from the past (What a good sport!). He was hot that night! Stage seats, a short dance, and those blazing baby blues were too much to take for me. Still not back to normal! Barry is like Bad Medicine and I need a refill! I'll be back in October and again in the Spring (That October 25-28 weekend will be rocking ... we are coming from ALL OVER). Thanks for "Sweet Heaven" for a few days and a whole lot of Barry's Best! We appreciate all that you do, Barry!! - Carolyn Farren (Philadelphia, PA) (4/29/2007)

April 21: It was my birthday today. I liked the different opening (I think it was a short version of "Beautiful Music" and "I'm Coming Back." "Blue Velvet" was neat. The background during that was great. I was also glad that Barry sang "Yesterday" and "Sweet Heaven." Barry's other 60's songs were great. Thank you, Barry, for the handshake. I just wish I could have got a dance for my birthday. - Andrea Schnitzer (West Bloomfield, MI) (5/9/2007)

April 19: This evening was very special to me. I was surprised with this trip. My mother arranged the trip and the show tickets. With my loving, supportive, amazing mother at my side, we watched Barry. As the crowd sat absolutely riveted in silence, Barry said, "do you know these songs?" Customarily there is applause after the beginning of each and every song, but this night, there was such respect, such yearning to drink in every note, every sound, every moment, that we all just sat, entranced by the moments we were honored to be experiencing. We were rewarded for our respectful silence with an a cappella version of "Somewhere Down The Road." What a true Barry memory! It brought my mom and me to tears and to our feet along with many others. Could not have shared it with a better person or have been more honored to be in the audience of a more talented man. My heart awaits by next Barry moment. What an honor! What a man! What a performer! Somewhere Down The Road our roads are gonna cross again... and again and again!! - Stacie Drain (San Leandro, CA) (6/8/2010)

April 25: My husband and I, along with my parents, were vacationing in Vegas. Before the trip my mom and dad decided they too would like to go see Barry while we were there. My father, who celebrated his 69th birthday was thrilled by Barry's show and the group of music geared at the older crowd. I was happy for him. A woman to my left commented on how young I was compared to the crowd but I disagreed. I grew up on Manilow [when] I was a young girl. I thought the show was great and the crowd was diverse! A must see for anyone!! - Rachel (of Columbus, OH) (4/27/2007)

April 25-26: This was my first time seeing Barry. This was the greatest gig I had ever seen. I was in the V.I.P. seats and also in the fan club seats. I was that close I could nearly touch him! I have never screamed so much at a gig. He was excellent and I would travel 10 hours again just to see him! - Sarah-Jayne Wailes (Bradford, United Kingdom) (4/29/2007)

April 26: I waited 32 years for this! My sweet husband gave me this wish for my 40th birthday. I saw Barry on American Bandstand when I was 8 years old. He sang "Mandy" and I remember asking my parents right then if I could change my name to Mandy... they said NO. Barry was truly awesome and I am a changed woman! He is the "Ultimate" performer and he hit every note! (He didn't move too bad either! Still looks hot today!!) Can't wait to raise some more "fanilow cash" to see him again! I highly recommend the Music and Passion show to all! Even my husband enjoyed it! (And he says I did not embarrass him with all my screaming!) - Mary Therese Tebbe (of Georgia) (5/4/2007)

Living as I do in France, I never managed to see Barry live before [April 2007]. But now I'm making up for lost time. I saw all 3 shows that week and like all of his shows, they were awesome! - Janet Fauret (Strasbourge, France) (4/17/2008)

May 17: This was the tenth time my husband and I have seen Barry in concert since 2002. His shows are always great. To be honest, once a year we fly to Las Vegas from New Hampshire just to see Barry. This particular Music and Passion show was wonderful. It was such a thrill seeing the show from the fan club seats -- front row center. We loved everything about the show: the production, Barry's beautiful voice, the choice of songs, the band, the backup singers, his funny stories, etc. Everything was perfection. We have seen a lot of the shows in Las Vegas, and Music and Passion is definitely the most exciting show there. You leave the show with a big smile on your face, and you can't wait to see the show again! We'll be back again next year, Barry! - Barbara Kearney (Manchester, NH) (5/25/2007)

May 17: What I liked about the concert was when he walked over to my section while singing "Moonlight Serenade," started singing that beautiful song to me, then at the pause in the song, he asked me to dance. OH MY LORD, HAVE MERCY ON ME! The dance lasted roughly 15 seconds, we chatted (small talk), I went back to my seat okay ( I was told, because in my present state of mind, I wasn't even sure I was breathing!), but I don't think I'll ever be the same person again. Just sharing that moment with him in my life has changed me somewhat. I never quit smiling! It sounds corny but I have a spring in my step, I walk on the treadmill faster, and oh yeah, I just love reliving that moment as I tell the whole story to the girls at work, my family and friends, people I meet on the street, etc. Thank you, Barry, for one of the most memorable moments of my life. I've listened to your music for over 30 years, and the thrills just keep coming, apparently. I absolutely can't wait until the next concert I attend. You just keep doing what you're doing, because you do it well, and in such an adorable way. - Ginny Swiger (of West Virginia) (5/29/2007)

May 16-17: I had not seen a Barry Manilow concert in 10 years and I had looked forward to these shows for months. I went alone and parked my life at the door. My only disappointment was that the shows were over too soon. They were WAY past wonderful! You can hear about it, look at the photos, and watch the DVD but nothing compares to being in the theatre with him. Barry has never sounded better and his energy is unmatched. Everyone should attend Barry s shows! If someone is not a fan when they go in, they will be when they come out. There s no way you can't feel good after seeing his show. You carry that feeling with you and it's regenerated every time you hear "Copacabana" or any other song you hear him sing. I thank God for the gifts that Barry has and for his continued willingness to share them all with us ... Seeing one or two shows is not enough and there are so many of us who want to experience Music and Passion again and again and again. Thanks, Barry, for all you do. You're the best. Know how much you are loved. - Leah Fallico (Chicago, IL) (6/17/2007)

May 17: [What I liked about this was] the whole show, and when he used the side stages! - Joan M. Cook (Bay City, MI) (4/24/2010)

May 29-June 2: I was lucky enough to attend every show this week. At my Platinum Experience, when Barry asked me if I ever got bored, I simply smiled and said "no". How could I ever be bored? Barry gives my heart a reason to hope. He helps me smile even when I feel like crying. The night of June 1st, when I met him, will always be the most magical, special night of my life. I simply can't say enough about him. He is truly a gift to all of us from God. "Thank you" doesn't seem appropriate for all that he's given us over the years, but it will have to do as all other words have escaped me now. I will be back! - Lori Domingo (Tampa, FL) (6/5/2007)

June 2: I have loved Barry Manilow's music for years. When I saw that Barry was going to be in Vegas for my 50th birthday, I immediately booked tickets to see him. Much to my surprise, not only did I get to see him in concert, I was also chosen to dance with Barry on stage. It was the greatest birthday present ever! I can't stop smiling!! Thank you Barry. - Julie (of Yonkers, NY) (6/11/2007)

May 29: I have been a fan of Barry Manilow and his music forever. My Platinum experience was scheduled for 9/30/2006, but that was cancelled due to Barry's surgery. In December, I finally met him. I noticed that the stage had changed and during the concert he asked someone at stage right to dance. I began my quest to be the "dance girl", I attended 3 shows during the week of May 29, 2007 and all my seats were in the front row stage right. Barry began singing "Moonlight Serenade" and so did I. He made the turn on the stage to come to stage right and our eyes met and he never left them, I kept singing into those eyes and I will never forget any of it. Barry asked me to dance, there was a gasp from the audience and then they just disappeared. Now just me and Barry dancing. What a night! I was blessed to make some new friends that night, one of them took some great pictures that I will treasure forever. - Karen Barnes (Crofton, MD) (9/11/2007)

May 30: This was my very first time seeing Barry in concert ever! It was one of my birthday presents from my mother for my 13th birthday. I am so happy that I got to go with her. We had such a good time and I am glad that I got to share that with my mom. I really like Barry's music, and my favorite song is "Copacabana." I also liked how everyone was up and dancing and singing along with him, and that Barry and everyone there was so happy. I can't wait to go again! - Megan Dresser (Pittsburgh, PA) (11/28/2007)

June 7/8/9: I've just returned from three of Barry's shows. Barry, you simply amaze me each and every time I see you! I just love your passion for the music and all you put into your songs and shows! I can't think of anything else I would rather do than watch you perform! I'll be back in August to see you again and I can't wait! And did I mention you looked gorgeous!? Love you, Mary Flick (of New Jersey) (6/11/2007)

June 8... Barry looked great and his voice was outstanding. Barry came to the stage left seats and stood in front of me as we sang along to "Copacabana." The crowd was very enthusiastic and I hope Barry knows how much we love him. Thanks for a great evening!
... And June 9: Wow, what an outstanding show again! I loved the emotionally moving songs ("I Am Your Child" and "Weekend In New England"). Thanks, Barry, for the handshake and I will be back in August! - Linda Foster (Centreville, VA) (6/11/2007)

June 8: I went to the concert with the only person that I have loved longer than Barry Manilow. To my surprise he had put [me] in the seat that Barry would choose someone to dance with. It was a Cinderella night. Thanks, Barry! (AND Paul!!) - Kimberley Hantman (Pasadena, CA) (6/22/2007)

June 6: I surprised my wife with front row seats on her birthday to see Barry and he came over and shook our hands. He asked the lady right next to my wife on stage to dance during one song and my wife almost fainted because she came that close to dancing with him. - Robert Baird (Tuscaloosa, Alabama) (6/21/2012)

June 26-30: I was on vacation with my family, and I was very fortunate to be able to attend Barry's shows this week. Barry looked and sounded fantastic as usual. He sang many of his standards including songs that I have never seen him do live such as "I Am Your Child" and the "William Tell Overture." It was nice seeing his band get involved during "New York City Rhythm." My husband and I celebrated out wedding anniversary at his show on the 27th as well! I met so many wonderful people at the shows I've attended this week as well as at previous shows. One night, Barry seemed surprised when so many people in the audience indicated that they were attending more than one show that week. I will NEVER get tired or bored of seeing him perform live. Barry, you're the BEST!! - Donna Ruberti (Clayton, NJ) (7/9/2007)

June 26: My daughter took me out to Vegas for one reason... to see Barry Manilow! And she loved him as much as I do!! We both agreed it was the best concert we have ever been to. We are now planning to see him again in Boston (September 2007). Can't wait! Barry is better than ever!! - Donna Stucker (Salisbury, MA) (8/1/2007)

Every show I go to becomes a favorite for different reasons. Each time I go, I find some new emotion, or a song that I have listened to numerous times affects me in a way I never knew. June 2007 is my absolute favorite because that was when I became one of the dance girls and the next night I had the privilege of doing Platinum. Barry's voice was perfect, his songs were emotional, and I would say I was probably on my feet most of the time during those shows. I have to say thanks to Barry. Because of his music, I have found many more friends from all over the world whom I keep up with on a regular basis. We have a common bond and Barry gives us the opportunity to meet up from time to time. Thanks, Barry, for your music, the hope you give, and not being afraid to do what you LOVE to do and earn a living doing it. - Tammy Martorana (of Tennessee) (5/25/2009)

June 29: How does one pick a favourite out of all the concerts I have been lucky enough to attend? Well, this one was extra special because at that concert I also met Barry during my Platinum Experience. That meeting will stay with me forever and made the concert even more special that normal. It was full of music, there was plenty of passion, and it left me with wonderful lasting memories. - Marilyn Cousins (London, England) (6/2/2009)

July 19: I can't say that I will ever forget the January 8th concert in Portland, OR, because it totally changed my life. But in Las Vegas I had a dream come true. I was in the third row and I received complete eye contact and a smile several times. Needless to say, I froze, unable to use my camera! I did manage to get some pictures, a couple even when he is looking from behind the piano and singing and looking at me. But when he was right in front of me and did this all I could do was look and know that he actually knows what he means to me. When he sang "I Am Your Child" I could do nothing but cry. This song means a great deal to me with 6 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I had just performed this for a baby shower for a friend. The whole night was again, a dream come true. Every song and every look will never be forgotten. Being this close to such a talented genius of a man was amazing. Thank you again Barry. Dreams do come true! - Linda Butler (Vancouver, WA) (7/23/2007)

July 19: I have always followed Barry's music and it still makes me smile. I had not seen Barry in a long time, but have always listened to his music through the years. So when we had a chance to go to Vegas I made sure I went to his show, and he did not let me down. The show was great and Barry was funny. He is so personable, and I am still a fan after 32 years! Las Vegas was just very upbeat and a lot of fun. - Debbie Nichols (Spokane, WA) (3/24/2008, 6/29/2009)

July 21: My 50th birthday ... Third row center ... What a show, what a night. Barry is truly THE MAN! - John Henle (Brooklyn, NY) (6/15/2010)

July 20: I love Barry's show! I was four rows from the stage. Next time, I'm buying front row seats! Barry is a very talented artist. I turned my dining room into a Barry Manilow shrine! I love you Barry. You're the greatest! - Cindy Best (Saegertown, Pennsylvania) (4/22/2011)

July 26-28 (BMIFC Convention 2007 shows): Barry was in true form each night (especially on the CATWALK!!). He sang a lot of songs I never got to hear live until the Convention. Thank you again to everyone involved for making my first convention a wonderful experience!! - Donna Ruberti (Clayton, NJ) (8/2/2007)

July 28: It was a FAIRY tale come true! I have never enjoyed Barry as much as I did with all my "Barry Sista's" even my broken seat would not stop me from anything! And when Barry showed "Jacko" how it's supposed to be done on the Catwalk... well... I was soooo proud! Thanks for a Great CONVENTION also. Oceans of Manilove to BMIFC!! - Dawn Goodfriend (of Georgia) (8/25/2007)

July 27: I am only 13 years old. When I was ten my mother played a CD from Barry with "I Can't Smile Without You." Since that time I am a Fanilow. I really liked his show. I am planning to come again to Las Vegas Hilton. I have all of Manilow's CDs. I just love Barry! - Daniel Sanchez Garcia (Mexico City, Mexico) (9/6/2007)

August 9-11: I saw three shows (Thursday, Friday and Saturday). Thursdays show was awesome and Barry sang such a moving rendition of "Even Now." It got the house on its feet. On Friday I was so happy to finally meet Barry during my Platinum (Experience) and that evening we were treated to "Keep Each Other Warm." Thanks, Barry, we all just loved that! Saturday was another great show and I was sorry when it ended, knowing that I have to wait until October to come back. This was the best time ever, seeing old friends and making new ones at the show. Thanks, Barry, for all you do - you're the best! - Linda Foster (Centreville, VA) (8/13/2007)

August 7-11: WOW! Thank you, Barry, for another exciting week of shows. You have so much energy and so much passion, I could never get enough of you! Two special moments for me were seeing and hearing you sing "Even Now" and "Keep Each Other Warm." They were both showstoppers! I also really enjoyed "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'. I've heard that song many times but this week was extra special! I'll see you in Philly and be back in Vegas in September! Can't wait to hear your 70's songs. I know they will be awesome, just like you! - Mary Flick (of New Jersey) (8/13/2007)

August 7-11: I was very fortunate to be able to return to see Barry's shows this week with my husband. He sang a lot of his standards but really surprised us one night when he performed "Keep Each Other Warm." As I've said before I will never get tired of seeing Barry's show. He makes everyone in the audience feel so special. My husband was thrilled to be able to sit close to the front as well. He said he'll never sit in the back again! Barry, once again thank you so much for making this a summer I'll never forget! - Donna Ruberti (Clayton, NJ) (8/16/2007)

August 11: Barry s music has been a part of my life since 1975 and I've lost track of how many "Music and Passion" shows I've seen in Las Vegas. Thanks to Barry's brilliance and creativity, each show has its own exciting and memorable moments, but I will never forget the Saturday, August 11th performance, because it was on that night that Barry chose me to dance "Moonlight Serenade" with him. The song was so romantic and the stage lighting was breathtaking as the stars appeared from above. Barry started singing and then walked toward the stage right section, where I was seated in the front row. All of a sudden, I realized he was singing to me; he opened the gate and asked me if I wanted to dance! I took his hand and just "floated" on the stage. I can't remember every detail because part of it seemed surreal and yet at the same time it felt like I was dancing with someone I knew forever! It was a magical night and a dream come true. I don't think there will ever be a day that I won't smile when I remember that dance. There's no question that Barry's music and performances make people feel. Thanks, Barry, for sharing that special moment with me. I can't wait to "see the show again". Always remember, the Miracle is YOU! - Mary Marsh (Los Angeles, CA) (8/29/2007)

My husband surprised me with front row center seats for my 52nd birthday. He was the only man in the front two rows! Concert was great and everyone sat so respectfully in their seats - clapping and singing along. I could hardly sit down any more. Barry's music moves me SOOO much. At the end of the show, the big Copacabana number came on. Barry and his singers were dancing in the cage above us. As the cage lowered to the stage, I couldn't contain myself anymore... I got up and stepped up to the stage and reached my hand out. Barry continued singing and grabbed my hand and smiled and we danced for "what seemed like an eternity", but was probably only five seconds. I was acting like a teeny bopper and had to do it. No one else got up. Guess the rest of the fans were more mature and more self-controlled than me! My husband sat there in shock and so I HAVE NO PICTURE of it. Just the memory of holding hands with Barry and gazing into his eyes. He was just a darlin'! - Donna Watson (Magnolia, Delaware) (11/18/2010)

My son (Steven) was only 3 at the time we went to Las Vegas in 2007. He was supposed to stay in the room with my mom while my sister and I were at the Barry Manilow concert. Somehow he thought he was attending the concert and was getting excited. The night before the concert my sister (Adriana) and I went to the venue and started talking to the girl who was guarding at the door about my son and how much he wanted to see Barry just to hear "I Write The Songs." The girl told us she was not allowed to let anybody enter without a ticket. We explained to her that we were going to the concert the next night. She was very, very nice and right before "Copacabana" started she let us in along with my son. Then, Steven's favorite song started, "I Write The Songs..." Steven got so happy he started to scream. He could not believe he was looking at the real Barry Manilow! When the concert was over and all the confetti and streamers fell Steven got even more excited. As soon as we got back to the room he called his dad and the first thing he said was: Daddy, I just saw Barry Manilow and hung up! That has been in Steven's little memory for all these years. The next night my sister and I attended the concert and it was awesome! - Claudia C.L. (of Mexico) (7/17/2012)

An Evening of Music and Passion!

A big THANK YOU to Barry for coming to Philly last night! You were phenomenal, Barry! We love you so much in Philly and I think you saw how much last night! You looked gorgeous! Your show was great! And thank you so much for doing "Old Friends" and "Forever And A Day"! Please come back soon! - Mary Flick (of New Jersey) (9/9/2007)

This was my first big arena concert since 1978 when I saw him at the Spectrum. It was also my first experience having a floor seat by the stage in a large concert venue. "WOW" is all I can say! Once again Barry put on an incredible show! He performed a lot of his songs from Music and Passion, along with some surprises like the full version of "Could it be Magic", "Forever and A Day", as well as "Old Friends". It was a lot of fun seeing the show in Philly and seeing all the band and singers there with them! Each time I go to see Barry I bring back a new and wonderful memory. Barry sounded and looked wonderful as always. He once again seemed so SHOCKED at the response of the audience. In my opinion this crowd was even rowdier and louder than back in '78. Barry hasn't lost his touch and as far as I'm concerned he NEVER will! Love You Barry!! - Donna Ruberti (Clayton, NJ) (9/9/2007)

Last night I saw Barry live at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia. I closed my eyes and it was 1975... At the Leukemia Radiothon at the Marriott in Philadelphia in 1975, Barry autographed his album for me on the album's flip side with the picture of him in his "I Love Beagles" t-shirt . He was so kind. He asked for a $5.00 donation for leukemia and was I lucky. I had just enough in my purse. He gave me the album and I rushed home to share it with my darling husband who loved me so much, he babysat our 4 little ones that night so I could go with my sisters. Years passed and we lived in many apartments before we could buy our first home and during a move, my album was lost along with Barry's dedication to me - To Mary Anne from Barry Manilow. But I am so happy to have met him and I wish him all the best in the future. - Mary Anne Macartney (Philadelphia, PA) (9/9/2007)

I have never seen a man more at ease than Barry. He made people feel like they were up there singing with him. His voice sounded better than ever. If and when he appears in my area again you can bet I well attend. GOOD LUCK and KEEP SINGING! - Joe Muti (Manahawkin, NJ) (9/11/2007)

Just got back from the Philadelphia concert this weekend and... is Barry not a tremendous performer or what!? It just amazes me how he can continually and consistently be great at entertaining, without falter. This was my fifth concert, and how does he do it? His voice range is just as great as when he was younger. Actually, I even think it has got more of a sexy kind of tone to it. I don't know if it's magic or if it's just plain magical. Barry, I don't know how you just keep doing it perfectly, I'm only glad that you do, and I can only say that I can't wait until my next concert. See ya then! - Ginny Swiger (of West Virginia) (9/13/2007)

The concert was just wonderful. I didn't sleep all night once the night was over. Thank you, Barry, for letting me live out my dream. I'll never forget you for as long as I live. Love, Michelle (of Darby, PA) (9/28/2007)

I have loved Barry and his music for over 30 years, and was thrilled to FINALLY get to my first concert! It was worth the wait and made me feel like a kid again. Thanks, Barry, for the joy, enthusiasm, and love for your fans that permeated the entire concert. It was a night to remember and I will treasure the memory. - Lois (of Mechanicsburg, PA) (6/28/2009)

First Show - Helen Holdun (Palm Springs, CA) (8/10/2009)

September 8: This was my favorite concert because Barry took that 20,000 set arena and made me feel like I was sitting in a small supper club listening to him. His voice was great that night. He finished the concert my favorite way. He pulled up a stool and said "I know you're out there, my friends...I don't know how you got here but you're here...I have always had great audiences in Philly and tonight is no exception." My eyes started to tear up, then he said "I know it has been awhile since I have played Philly, but you are still out there, my friends." Then he sang "Old Friends" and "Forever And A Day." What a concert! Afterward, everyone was saying the same thing to their friends... WHAT A CONCERT! - Sharon Zotti (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) (3/21/2011)

Favorite Show: I have a deep respect for Barry. His music has a special place within my soul. - Toni Ivers (Boston, Massachusetts) (3/22/2011)

I have seen so many great Barry Manilow concerts all around New England and Vegas it is really hard to pinpoint one special concert, but if I had to pick one it would be this one because I brought my children with me for the first time. They have loved Barry's music since they were born and they are now 16 and 13. They are getting a friend (who might not know who Barry is -- hard to believe!) -- to listen to Barry's music! Both my children play violin and my son plays guitar. I always remember Barry saying to encourage children to play instruments. Well, Barry, mission accomplished! We love you!! - Jan Wilk (Boston, Massachusetts) (4/26/2013)

September 26: I danced with Barry! I am still in a daze. Thank you, Barry, for making me feel like a princess. I will never forget how special you made me feel and what a sweet person you were that night. The memories you've given me will last a lifetime! Your shows take us to a place that only dreams can. You sing like an angel and each time I see you, it only gets better. What a fantastic showman you are! I don't know who is enjoying themselves more, me or you!! I absolutely love seeing the 70's songs included. And I love the way you have incorporated them into your show. You are the most amazing musician and performer! - Mary Flick (of New Jersey) (9/30/2007, 11/12/2007)

September 27/28/29: I never thought I would ever get to Vegas, Oh But What a show, 4th row and Two front rows! It was just like a dream. Barry was amazing as he always is, and to top it all I got a handshake on my last night! You really have to see Barry Live to believe how amazing he really is. No other artist comes close. When Barry puts a show on he puts every breath he has into it. He really is the Ultimate Showman of all time. - Adele Whipp (of England) (12/27/2007)

I had a front row seat and went back stage to meet Barry. I gave his assistant a present I had bought for him - a trophy-type status with the name and date of the concert (He said he would give it to Barry). There is nothing like seeing Barry up close! - Dorothy Costabile (Croydon, PA) (8/27/2009)

October 6: Due to the distance I have to travel to get to Vegas, I was lucky enough to see several Manilow shows. People say how can you sit and watch the same show? It's easy - it's a Barry Manilow show! A true showman and performer of our time! Each show has its special moments. Barry, you are one-of-a-kind and the show is amazing, and your family of backup singers and band are the best. Even when you were not feeling 100%, you give 110% and had the audience begging for more. Thank you for doing what you do and making so many people happy, especially me, over the last 30+ years. I cannot wait to come back and "See the Show Again." - Caroline Dinnen (Sydney, Australia) (10/7/2007)

October 5-6: This was a weekend of 'firsts' for me: First time in Las Vegas and First time to see Barry Manilow in person. I've been a fan since Mandy (30+ yrs.) but never had the opportunity to see Barry live. But, thanks to a BMIFC angel, I was able to go to Vegas and see Barry and meet a great group of fans. I have to admit, I was scared it wasn't going to happen since Barry had to cancel Oct. 4th, but he came through both nights. I LOVED the show. The band, the stage, the back-up singers were fantastic, but most of all, Barry was FANTASTIC! Every song he sang you could tell came from his heart and was a gift to everyone there. Barry, you are the greatest and all of us at the BMIFC love you for each and every song, CD, & DVD you give us. I HAVE BEEN MANILOWED, and plan on coming back to be MANILOWED again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It was a weekend I'll remember forever! - Kelly Blalack (Lubbock, TX) (10/11/2007)

October 3: Much to my sheer shock and delight, I was selected as Barry's "Moonlight Serenade" dance partner! Having no idea whatsoever on what was going to happen, I remember being in a daze. Being up close (even though he was ill, bronchitis I think) and finally being able to thank him for everything. Those were the first words I said to him after I found my voice. To thank him for all his Beautiful Music that has helped me (and millions of others) through some very difficult and trying times in life. It was an experience that is beyond words. Being in Vegas, of course, everyone's dream is winning the "megabucks." My wonderful dad told me, I won the Megabucks of all Megabucks, I won the Barry Jackpot! - Lynne (of Honolulu, Hawaii) (9/9/2011)

I liked how Barry gives his all to the audience. Every song he pours his heart out and everyone really has a wonderful evening. I also liked when he danced with one of the ladies in the audience. Sure wish it was me! Looking forward to seeing him again. - Wendy Tolpa (of Virginia) (2/14/2008)

I've seen a number of concerts over the years going back to 1984 and look forward to my next concert at the Paris in August, but my all-time favorite was at the Las Vegas Hilton when my husband treated me to the "Platinum package" and I had front row seats after meeting Barry before the show. What a nice guy and an outstanding performer - he makes me very proud to be a fan!! - Judy (of Highland Falls, NY) (5/27/2010)

Barry just gave two amazing concerts in Las Vegas on Wednesday and Thursday evenings despite the fact that he has been battling a bad cold. I was in the front row and got to shake his hand and got a smile that I will NEVER forget. Thank you, Barry, for giving it your all. You gave us two beautiful shows and memories that we will have for a lifetime. We all love you and hope you are feeling better soon. Love, Julie Robichaud (North East, MD) (10/27/2007)

October 25: I really loved sitting in the front row and seeing Barry up close! Thank you, Barry, for being the wonderful person that you are and for giving us your very best All The Time. It is a pleasure to be your fan and we simply adore you! - Mary Flick (of New Jersey) (10/29/2007)

October 25: Barry gave an amazing and fun-filled performance on Thursday night. You could just tell that he was enjoyed the audience reactions. We were applauding and yelling his name. I love the jackets especially the grey satin one. Barry, I loved to hear you sing "All The Time". You looked and sounded wonderful. I can't wait to see you again. Thank you for the good times as always! - Linda Foster (Centreville, VA) (10/29/2007)

October 25: At the very thought of finally being able to see Barry for the first time ever -- especially in Vegas and coming from Australia, which isn't exactly a short flight -- words cannot describe the amount of Joy and Honour it was to be there. Middle section 3 rows from the front... well, only those who have been to Barry's shows will know what perfect seats we had! Not too close yet just right to view those blue eyes, his expressions, the detail of his wonderful clothes, the stage setting and lights, and to be totally aware of his talented back up singers and see his wonderful band. The Hilton is a place where it's not too big, where you feel as one, not only with Barry but with all the audience. I loved how Barry speaks about his loving family, places he has been, lifetime experiences and how he sings to everyone in the audience. When he has that special eye contact while singing, you feel like the only person in the room. The power he delivers through his music conveys Inspiration, Hope, Love and Joy in all the songs he sings. Even though this was my first and only Manilow show I have had the opportunity to attend, it will be one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. What an inspirational show it was, knowing Barry wasn't feeling well yet his professionalism to continue and give a flawless performance added to my respect for him. Through Barry's Fan Club he has made it possible for me and others to meet the most wonderful fans from around the world. They have made me feel so welcome. Many friendships have been made. I thank Barry for that. The whole experience of the evening made me want to return and experience the whole night's emotion again. - Dianne Robinson (Melbourne, Australia) (4/19/2009)

November 8-10: This was a very special week of shows for me. On November 8, my husband and I sat in the front. It was a terrific show as usual! November 9th was even more special because it was my Platinum VIP night! I got to meet Barry and talk to him for a few minutes. I was so nervous that day getting ready, hoping to look just right for my 'big moment'. It was wonderful! He was so nice and when we chatted he seemed very interested in what I did for a living. I had my picture taken with him too! The front row CENTER seat for the show that followed was incredible. As usual the back up singers and the band were also fantastic. November 10th was special as it was exactly a year ago that Barry asked me to dance with him. That night literally changed my life and I've since made many new friends though the BMIFC. I am grateful for the opportunities I've had to see Barry this past year and I'm looking forward to more shows in 2008. Barry, you're the BEST! Love you always!! - Donna Ruberti (Clayton, NJ) (11/25/2007)

Favorite Show (November 7) - Debbie (of Oswego, IL) (1/10/2009)

November 8: We all 'enjoy' Barry's concerts, but I feel that in every performance of his there are a few people who 'need' to see him. For whatever reason, they 'need to forget' -- if only for a little while. Barry has the talent to allow us to do that. As I was planning my trip to Vegas, I was recuperating from my second bout with cancer. By the time I left for Vegas, I was physically healed, but not completely emotionally healed. With cancer that can take some time. I gave the Box Office representative several dates and she happened to pick my birthday! Also, she assured me that my seats were wheelchair accessible. I arrived at the Hilton only to find that they weren't. I was heartbroken until a lovely lady supervisor asked a security guard to lift me into my VIP front row seat. And ... much to my surprise, Barry came straight to me during a song! For a few special moments we sang together and held hands. He helped me 'forget.' There was no way for him to know that I was one of those who 'needed' him that evening. Because of that supervisor, and the surprise from Barry, an almost disasterous evening, and a birthday, turned out to be one I'll happily never forget. I'm going to PARIS LV to see Barry on October 17th. Again, I have a front row seat! This time, I'm healthy and unbelieveably excited to see his new show! - Marsha Hoilman (Savannah, GA) (7/30/2010)

November 17: I had been in town to see Barry perform and this particular night I was sitting on the side stage. Barry chose me to dance and I felt like a princess. Thanks, Barry, for making me feel special and for that wonderful dance. I will never forget it! It was a dream come true! - Kay Gardner (Chicago, IL) (12/24/2007)

I somehow managed to obtain two front row tickets for my husband and me to attend the concert and we booked our trip around it. The first time we were in Vegas we saw the NASCAR races which took up the whole weekend (March 2004) so I demanded to see one of my all time favorite singers perform during our second visit. My husband Jim hesitantly agreed (No offense Barry! He likes Country!) then two weeks later he suggested that I bring my mom along to the concert since he said that ticket would be wasted on him. He knew how much she loved Barry's music (Now, what man in his right mind invites his mother-in-law on vacation!? ... Mine! They have a great relationship). My favorite part of the concert was watching my Mom see one of her idols, plus shake his hand! We both got to shake Barry's hand, it was awesome! Barry, you are as good, if not better, than you have ever been. My mom and I used to dance together in our living room in CT to your music when I was younger (now 45). Those were the good ol' days! Thanks for the music to fill the memories. My mom is now 72 and still working full time. I wish I could take her out to another one of your concerts ...anywhere! Keep singing that sweet music, Barry! - Tammy (Schuler) Beaudoin (Shelton, Connecticut) (5/28/2011)

I had a front row centre seat and Barry sang "Love is a Many Splendored Thing" (my favourite!). I felt as if I was the only one in the room and at the end of the show I got to hold his hand. Very different from the first time I saw Barry in the UK (1991) sitting in the gods. Having been a fan for over 32 years it made the 5,000-mile trip to meet up with friends in the USA and the UK a fantastic holiday with memories to last a lifetime ...especially when Barry and the band came into the Tempo Bar after the show and we were all lounging around with our feather boas on (It did make them all smile!). - Melanie Wrigley (North Wales, United Kingdom) (10/22/2011)

November 30/December 1: Barry, you were once again fabulous. You looked so HOT! You sang beautifully. I loved hearing the Mayflower again. I absolutely loved hearing "Who's Been Sleeping In My Bed," "Keep Each Other Warm," and your Seventies songs. And thanks for "River" and "Happy Holiday"! You are the BEST!! - Mary Flick (of New Jersey) (12/3/2007)

November 30th, 2007 was our Platinum night and what an amazing night it was! Barry, you are just the sweetest, kindest person and my Mom and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for meeting with us and taking time out from your VERY busy schedule. It was my dream come true to meet you. Seeing you from the front row was also amazing! Thank you also for extending the length of that show -- it was awesome!! Please keep on performing "Who's Been Sleeping In My Bed" because no one ever gets sick of that song! You truly are an amazing person. God bless you and thank you again for a memory I will NEVER, EVER forget. - Kirsten Ramp (of New Jersey) (12/6/2007)

December 1: Amazing! Best concert I have seen. What a showman! - Stuart Wilson (Glasgow, Scotland) (3/18/2010)

Las Vegas was fantastic! Three of my daughters came to Las Vegas with me. We were celebrating my 80th birthday. Sat in the special seats on the side, up front. - Marilyn Hoppel (San Mateo, CA) (6/6/2010)

Barry, your shows in NY and NJ were THE BEST! I am so happy you were able to come to the east coast again. You look gorgeous. Your shows were incredible! Watching you sing "Old Friends" and "Forever And A Day" left me speechless. It was a very touching moment that I will remember forever. Thanks for coming and please come back. We cannot get enough of you! - Mary Flick (of New Jersey) (12/11/2007)

December 9: We had FRONT ROW SEATS! It was the best concert, because I was sitting next to and around some of my Barry Sista's and they were great. We all had a great time! I am grateful for Barry for his music and DVD's to pick me up when I'm a little down. And with that, I'm happy again. This concert made me smile for the 90 minutes or so that I was there, I was smiling the whole time. Maybe once or twice I got teary-eyed, because of certain songs that hit me hard, like "Could It Be Magic," but even with that, I was still smiling! I would love to see Barry in Las Vegas in 2008, because I KNOW that I would have the BEST TIME. Everyone should see Barry at least once in their lives. - Amy Vitale (Medford, NY) (12/17/2007)

December 9: I am going to be 5 years old in June. I am the youngest, biggest Barry Manilow fan. I loved everything about the concert. That's all I wanted for a Christmas present. I have been singing Barry's songs since I was 2. I play the piano and imitate Barry's moves and words. I hope I get to see him again and maybe I will get to sing for him sometime. - "Thomas" (of Long Island, NY) (4/27/2008)

December 9: My second Barry concert! It was just awesome, but much too short! - Maddy (of Brooklyn, NY) (4/29/2008)

December 10: We absolutely loved the show!! - Reg (of New Jersey) (12/2/2008)

December 10: I loved EVERYTHING about that night! Barry and his music electrified the audience that night. We had 6th row, center seats... We could see and hear it all. FANTASTIC! He ended the evening with "Forever and A Day" - so appropriate and moving. We didn't want the show to end. I wanted to take him up on his suggestion to not go home and "order pizza out"! Here's to the Man! - Irene Van Gunst (Maywood, NJ) (4/15/2009)

Although I thought nothing could surpass [the first time I saw Barry in concert (October 24, 2004)], as always, Barry proved me wrong. He was, of course, brillant that night. He was in excellent voice and he was as sexy looking as ever. The one thing that made it extra special was that this time my husband was with me. It was nice to have him to snuggle with during those special moments. Also, when my husband said WOW, he never thought he would enjoy himself so much and that the electricity in the arena was awesome, I knew Barry had done his job. Barry looked so HOT that night and to pick a certain special moment would be hard... Anytime Barry sat at the piano is always special to me. I love to watch him play, I could do that all night. The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been if I could have met Barry in person and talked to him. That has always been a dream of mine. (MAYBE SOMEDAY!!) - Penny Sanko (Canton, OH) (6/17/2009)

It was so great that Barry rode for 6 hours to get there after his flight was cancelled. So many other artists would have just said forget it. The piano solos were the best I have ever seen. He had so much energy from being stuck in the car, we the fans reaped the reward. I haven't been to Vegas yet so it was neat to see all the beautiful jackets, especially the one he opened with that had the blue piping as stripes. - Jane Morley (St. Louis, MO) (1/6/2008)

My friend and I went through a lot to get to the Palace. My tire blew out on the way there and thanks to a wonderful gentleman who stopped and helped us, we were able to make it. That night it snowed really bad and the roads were awful, even worse when we left the concert, but I wouldn't have traded a thing for the experience of finally getting to see Mr. Manilow in concert. It was awesome! And thanks to Mr. Manilow for the extra effort he made for all of us to make it to the concert and give an excellent performance. It had been a dream of mine since I was 10 and now my new dream is to be able to take my 2 daughters to his concert. - Lisa Barber (of Michigan) (8/5/2009)

Barry ALWAYS puts on one great show!! He almost didn't make it as the snow held them up. The weather was so bad we didn't think they would show up at all! When they did, it was the greatest show ever! Then he said they'd stay longer to make up for lost time. Fine by me!! - Sharon Moore (Waterford, MI) (11/14/2009, 3/1/2011)

The concert was fantastic, but there was a little hitch. The region had some bad weather the night before. There was a back-up band and they continued to play and play. We were wondering what was going on. A few minutes later Barry came running onto the stage in jeans and a jacket. He apologized for being late. They were coming from Cleveland and the airport was closed, so they had to rent a vehicle and drive to Detroit! He said that there wasn't much to see between there and Detroit. He then went backstage and changed and put on a wonderful concert! - Mary Tomalis (of Michigan) (3/3/2021)

December 28-29: What awesome shows! Barry was looking HOT and sounding wonderful. He had some new jackets and had a playful attitude. He got lots of standing ovations I was glad to see. We got a terrific "Even Now," "Memory," and "It's Just Another New Years Eve" to name a few. Friday's "Copacabana" was so fun especially since I had such a good seat. Barry, Thanks for the smile and eye contact Saturday at the show. You know you are my favorite entertainer. Saturday's show had that extra sparkle. A big thanks to your band and backups. We LOVE you. - Linda Foster (Centreville, VA) (1/1/2008)

This year we travelled over the Christmas break [to see Barry], so all of our sons could go to Vegas with us. My thirteen year old son accompanied me to this concert, and we had front row seats ... Hoping Barry's piano talents and his all in all showmanship will inspire the child to take his piano lessons more seriously (we have a baby grand)! I was in total awe of the MAN as usual. Barry never disappoints! He gave us his all, and then some. I love the man, and this woman of 47, will continue my pilgrimage to Vegas every year cross country to see this beloved man, as long as I can. This year, I was just post-hospitalization for pneumonia, but was not going to miss Barry for anything. I learned too well with Elvis, love 'em while they're here, for no one knows what tomorrow may bring. I would just love to really meet Barry someday. I have loved him since he first came out! I have always had front row or side stage seats, and have gotten a few handshakes. Those in and of themselves are treasured memories! Thanks again for so many wonderful memories, Barry. God Bless You. I just cannot say enough good about Barry. No one will ever replace him. I have seen him in Vegas five times now, plus various other times in the Carolinas. Hope to make reservations for a trip to see Barry in 2008! Love Ya, Barry. You are the best! - Barbara Miller (Myrtle Beach, SC) (1/31/2008, 2/22/2008)
