"BRILLIANT ... ELECTRIC ... 'I've Just Arrived' ... pure American beef ... 'Wild Places' ... spinning ballroom light ...'William Tell Overture', 'I'll Be Good For You', 'Forever And A Day', and 'Where Does The Time Go'" - excerpts from Daunna Becker's pen-pal in England, Marcy Rose!

The concert was "in the round" which made Barry seem more accessible. The music was the best. It was so good that I came back again for the last night of the tour. Pure magic! - Jan (of Essex, England) (9/27/99)

Barry in the Round! No matter where you sat in the arena you had a great view of Barry. It was excellent! - Eden Copeland (of the United Kingdom) (10/27/2001)

I had always dreamed of visiting the UK, so when it was announced Barry was taking his show on tour, and to Wembley Arena, I decided this was going to be my dream come true! This was an especially happy venture as I was taking my 13-year-old son, Sean, along for a trip of a lifetime for him as well. With the help of the BMIFC and Mr. E Travel, we were all set to go. I gave Sean six days of an incredible journey for the opening night at Wembley... The show was amazing, especially in the round. The music was amazing, and Barry did not disappoint us either. The best thing of all: Sean thought Barry and the show were great, too! Thank you, Barry, for your committment to beautiful and well-crafted music that will stay with us Forever and a Day! - Lynda Garbutt (Chicago, IL) (10/1/2009)

April 6 England/London

"He was absolutely amazing ... 'Let's Hang On' ... 'Wild Places'...was HOTTT!!! ... having so much fun ... 'I Am Your Child' ... 'Weekend In New England' ... 'I'll Be Here With You' ... yummy ... amazing" - more excerpts from Marcy Rose!!

Best Show Memory: The whole show was full of energy. Barry's crooning "Moonlight Serenade" with the glitter ball spinning made even Wembley seem intimate. Barry summed up the feeling perfectly, "This is such fun. Let's lock the doors and order Chinese food out!" - Adele Furbank (10/22/97)

It was the closest I had been to the front of the stage and the one and only time I thought he would pick me for "Can't Smile Without You." Sadly I wasn't picked, but the concert still brings back such happy memories. - Carole Bailey (Wigan, England) (4/3/2005)

I started listening to Barry's music when I was about 13. My mum used to play it All The Time! I have been to four concerts and have taken my mum and her friends. I thought I would be the youngest there at the age of 32, but there are all ages. Looking forward to another show. - Lisa Haslewood (Doncaster, England) (3/15/2004)

It was my first concert ever to see Barry. It was fab! He looked good and sounded brilliant. I did not know what to expect. Wow! He took my breath away. Sadly I've never been to see him again due to illness I've been fighting. But I hope that one day I may see Barry, meet him, and have my photo taken with him too. April 12 Scotland/Glasgow
(SECC)
The whole concert was brilliant. Barry's performance was something else and I was about 6 rows from the stage. The way in which he covered all the songs and the fact that all the fans could see him so well I think brought us closer together. I especially loved the Big Band sounds, and the mood that he created made it feel so realistic to that era. - Margaret McLaren (Glasgow, Scotland) (10/24/98)

Videos and DVDs of Barry are good, but live shows are unbelievable. He has such charisma and presence on stage, you can't beat it. - Vicki Dryburgh (Glasgow, Scotland) (2/20/2005)

April 13 England/Newcastle
(Arena)
In The Round:  I loved the concert because Barry spoke to me when I was in the front row - my one and only time over the years that I have been lucky enough to be in the front. It was the most wonderful feeling ever. I will never ever forget it!! - Norma Ferrier (Edinburgh, Scotland) (2/5/2000)

I had an excellent seat, near to the revolving stage at the front of the arena. Being so close to Barry was a memory that I will always remember. The show was brilliant and the music was just amazing. He is a real showman. - Avril Ross (Northeast England) (8/3/2000)

This was the "In The Round" tour and my seat was in the second row. It was a simply fantastic night and at last Barry was playing in my home town. I wanted the night to last forever but sadly it didn't. It is just fabulous when Barry comes to Newcastle and I have seen him every time since. Thanks, Barry, for all the songs you have given us. They always inspire me and make me feel better if I down. - Angela Berry (Cramlington, Northumberland, England) (5/17/2002)

The first time is always the best! I loved everything about the show, especially The Man himself. I was already in love with him, I just fell a little deeper that night. Please, please, please come back to Ireland. I can't wait! - Hazel Legge (Belfast, Ireland) (5/13/2003)

First Show - Sue Wells (Kings Lynn, Norfolk, England) (5/8/99)

Favorite Show:  The concert was "In The Round", which was superb, and I think more of them should be, as every seat is quite good. It was the U.K. Convention so there was a maximum amount of fans there and the atmosphere was electric. Barry sang "Somewhere In The Night" (my favorite song) alongside "Keep Each Other Warm". It was a show I will remember forever. Thanks Barry! - Hazel Bell ("CSWY" girl) (Workington, Cumbria, England) (6/1/99)

June 9 Australia/Sydney
(Entertainment Centre)
First and Favorite Show:  It was a great concert. I wished I was the person with him on stage for "Can't Smile Without You"!  I liked his singing all the songs, in particular, "Moonlight Serenade" and "Copacabana". - Pamela Mattos (Sydney, Australia) (7/17/99)

I attended this show with my Mum, Judy. She and I are BOTH great Manilow fans. Judy had not been as happy as I had seen her this night in a very long time. She had been very unwell for an equally long time and I enjoyed both the concert (like who wouldn't?) and the fact that she could kick back and enjoy it too! It was almost as though she held on to see Barry one last time ... she passed away 46 days later. Thank you, Barry, for being a part of my loving relationship with my Mum in the way that you have. It means one heck of a lot to me. - Tony Chapman (Melbourne, Australia) (6/21/2002)

It was my first and last concert I have ever seen Barry perform in, but I remember taking my Japanese girlfriend who could not speak English. She was very excited to be going to such an event and at the end of the performance, I looked across at her face and to this day I have never seen a smile of happiness on anyone's face like the smile that night on Kumiko. It truly gladdened my heart and bought tears to my eyes. Thank you, Barry. - Dee Neville (of Australia) (8/10/2004)

It was awesome to be able to see Barry twice (1994 and 1996). In 1996 when the concert was in the round, the best moment was when Barry was singing "Copacabana." Some fans started a congo line around the stage, and it grew and grew. Barry thought it was great too! Thanks for the Music and Memories, Bazza! AUSTRALIA LOVES YOU!! - Tracey (of Craigmore, South Australia) (7/11/2010)

June 11 Australia/Adelaide
(Festival Theatre)
To even be in the same room as The Man who has been in my life every day since I was 9 years old, was the most incredible experience of my life. This concert was by far the most personal and "cozy" concert I have attended. From the minute I sat down until weeks after the concert, I was walking on clouds! Barry connected beautifully with the audience and even though there were thousands of people at the venue, he made you feel there was only you in the room. I am proud to have been born in a time where I can appreciate Barry's music, voice, talent and genuine humility. I will never forget Barry Manilow!! - Dianne Chenoweth (Adelaide, South Australia) (11/24/2000)
June 13 Australia/Perth
(Entertainment Center)
I sang "Can't Smile Without You" with Barry on stage! I love the words and music of all of Barry's songs. They are always sung with such feelings of emotion. Love you, Barry! May you sing forever more! - Jean Baker (Perth, Western Australia) (6/13/2011)

(Thanks also to Mark Bliss for the venue correction!)
June 16 Australia/Newcastle
(Entertainment Center)
During this concert Barry was singing to 'our side' a lot. One of us got picked to sing with him {not me!}. During "Weekend In New England" we all yelled out "NOW!" when he got to "When can I touch you...", which made him lose it for awhile. It was so funny! Barry made it a great show even though he took off as soon as he finished his last song (We were not able to sing "Happy Birthday" to him). - Karen Goodall (of Australia) (9/13/98)
June 19 Singapore
(Convention Center)
Favorite Show:  Loved the magical style Barry brings when he is around ... It was my first son's 2nd birthday. Barry actually sat on the steps in front of me to sing a song. I really wish I could [bring] back those memories. Now, I've only got that magical feeling when I relive the memories. Wish I could remember exactly which songs were sung first and so on. However, I enjoyed myself tremendously and hope and wish and pray he will remember his fans out here in Singapore. Do come again, Mr Manilow! We love and miss you! - Jennifer Tan (of Singapore) (5/29/99)
June 21 Hong Kong
(Coliseum)
[This concert was] the most I have been entertained in one day. Barry is an all-round entertainer. How one person can have so much talent?!! I have been hooked since that time. - Sarah Francis (Yorkshire, England) (12/16/2001)

This was my first time seeing Barry in concert, after nearly 20 years of waiting. I can never forget his performance that night. It was also the year my first son was born. My wife said that he was dancing inside her when Barry was singing! Until now, Barry is still my most favourite musician. I always introduce his powerful songs to others, like "I Made It Through The Rain." It [has] encouraged so many of my friends. My elder son listens to Barry's songs too. Thanks for everything, Barry! - K.C. Chan (of Hong Kong) (9/28/2010)

It was a thrilling experience, after waiting for so long to see Barry (I fell in love with his music in 1980 or earlier!). Barry is such a great composer and musician. I hope Barry remembers Hong Kong... Please come back soon! Love and Miss You! - I.L. (of Hong Kong) (9/24/2012)

August 22-27 Nevada/Las Vegas

First Show - Michael Gorman (San Francisco, California) (8/2/2011)

Barry knew his fans/friends were there and he made it more special... Just a lot of fun jokes and songs that he normally wouldn't sing if we weren't there like "I'll Be Good To You," "Somewhere Down The Road," and "I'll Be Here With You." A lot of good memories at the Mirage. - Felicia Marks (Houston, Texas) (9/3/2014)

August 22 Nevada/Las Vegas

The concert itself was wonderful, of course, and I was very excited to be sitting near where Barry Manilow appeared in the audience at the start of the show. But, definitely, what made this show special was that my husband proposed to me at this concert. Barry read a letter he had received from my now husband and invited us up, where my husband made his proposal. Of course I said Yes! Barry then sang "The Best of Me." We received an autographed video of that portion of the concert when we returned to our seats. We showed the video at our wedding reception and danced our first dance during the part where Barry was singing. I have since been to other Manilow concerts, all wonderful, but this one will always be my [favorite]. - Denise Palczewski (of California) (7/26/2001)

Favorite Show: I had my 16-year old daughter, Mandy, in tow. Barry was fabulous... did the Macarena aka Maca-Manilow (hokey pokey), made "Could it Be Magic" last forever and sang "Keep Each Other Warm," hence, granting all three of my wishes. During the concert, Mandy and Jason were making eye contact and after the concert Di Coleman walked up to Mandy and said "Where'd you go girl, he was looking for you?" Made a wonderful memory for Mandy. We both flew back to Chicago thrilled... touched in a personal way! - Dawn Gay Truslow (Charleston, SC) [formerly Chicago, IL] (9/1/2005)

Barry stood still right in front of me! I had decided to try to give him a neck massage. He turned around and gave me the sweetest smile ever. Favorite Show: My husband, kids and I planned our vacation around the concert. We didn't want to take the kids into the concert, so I went myself and my husband kept the kids occupied in the amusement park. What a show! It was my 18th show and I still get chills just before Barry comes on stage like it was my first show (which was in 1980). The man is the most outstanding entertainer I've ever seen. - Felicia McTiernan (Charlotte, NC) (2/12/99)

First Show:  Barry Manilow is a great performer!  Mr. Manilow did two curtain calls. We also liked it when he performed "Could It Be Magic". I would like to see him come back to Myrtle Beach! - E. Zezefellis (Wilmington, NC) (5/21/99)

Favorite Show:  The concert was GREAT!!  My sister and I had excellent seats. The best part about the whole show was when Barry took time to meet some fans. He allowed then to come up to the end of the stage and would shake their hands. I was at the stage but it was the end of a song and streamers were being shot off so I never got the chance to shake his hand. But he said that he would be back...! - Peggy (of Wilmington, NC) (6/26/99)

I was fortunate enough to attend both shows. More importantly, I had overheard the crew stating that Barry would be arriving at the Palace at 5 p.m. on 9/1. I was able to meet Barry prior to the show. For the first time in my life, I couldn't speak or say anything coherent as I could not believe my luck. Barry somehow understood what I was asking and graciously signed a photo that I had taken of him from a prior show at the Wolf Trap outside of Washington, DC. I have truly enjoyed all 21 shows that I have been able to attend but getting to actually meet Barry along with hearing his music live was a highlight for me. Thank you Barry! - Barbara Parker (Jacksonville, NC) (7/10/2010)

August 31: Dynamite show! I just fall in love with Barry all over again. Barry, you are my very favorite singer in the world!! - Patricia (Pat) Dohner (Myrtle Beach, SC) (12/27/2010)

Favorite Show:  It was the first time we had great seats and it was the first time my two daughters were seeing Barry in person (they have grown up listening to him).  We all enjoyed the concert, I don't know who had more fun, my watching their reactions or their watching mine!  Barry actually "scared" me or should I say "took my breath away".  He was so close that I felt like he was looking right at me.  I've loved every concert that I've ever seen and he always makes me want to see him again before we even get out of the parking lot (which is quite a feat because I've never gone back to see even a movie or show twice).  Thanks Barry!!  Looking forward to seeing you again real soon. - Turi Jakobsen (3/24/98)

September 7: I GOT PICKED for "Can't Smile Without You"! Then the mic Barry handed me to sing with was DEAD! So we shared his mic, very cool. He never missed a beat... Me, on the other hand, a little nervous!
