From the BMIFC...
Dear Friends...
Putting together the BarryGram is a true labor of
love for just about everyone who has anything to do with the BMIFC
and with Barry. Lots of people write articles, submit photos, and
offer their "two cents." Ideas, articles, and "suggestions" fly
in from everywhere. Some are pretty funny. Some are pretty strange.
All are welcome.
Ironically, the writer with the most on his plate
is the one who's always on time. Barry's Q's & A's arrive like
clockwork. He wades through all the questions, decides which to
answer, emails in his notes, and then moves on to the next of hundreds
of projects that he somehow manages to juggle. All in all, it's
rather inspiring, intense…and intimidating. Probably makes
us all work a little faster and a lot harder.
Also inspiring was the outpouring of support for
the drastic surprises that confronted HARMONY. It sounds corny
to say that we often "welled-up" on
receipt of another letter or note. But that's OK. After the last few months,
corny started to feel pretty good.
And in the midst of it all, we all started to share
stories, laughs, and pictures about the BMIFC blast in Fort Lauderdale.
And that's exactly what it was: a BLAST! It seemed that everyone
truly was in the spirit of renewing friendships and having a great
time. (Can we talk about the clothes in the swimming pool?)
Suddenly, everyone started talking about putting
together another BLAST right away. And Barry BASH Vegas was born.
As you read this, the details have finally been announced. And
it sounds terrific; special privileges just for BMIFCers, an exclusive
one night only concert, and quiet time with Barry.
Looking forward to the BASH has helped all of us
through these past few tumultuous months. Yes, it will be a blast.
And yes, the concert will be a much needed breath of fresh air.
But most of all it will be a chance to reunite with old friends
and build friendships with the new. It's a chance for all of us
to say thanks. Even if it sounds a little corny.
Hasta Las Vegas ---
